From the moment I saw this palette I knew it had to be mine,
an array of super pretty neutrals all housed in an uber chic case...sign me up instantly.
I really should step away from neutral toned eye products but today is not that day!

Bobbi Brown packaging forever impresses me, it is always classy and modern with a lady like ring to it.
You would never guess to look at the Desert Twilight Palette that it is completely constructed from plastic
and the bonus of it being made in such way is that it is both sturdy and light weight,
not to mention the mirror inside is a great size and the duo ended brush is wonderful...not something
I thought i'd say about a freebie brush but it is the truth!

Inside the swanky pewter toned palette which is fairly dinky - it can fit into my palm with ease,
you will find 8 sizeable eyeshadows in various neutral, every day shades varying in finish.
Rather than ramble on aimlessly about formula I have listed the shade below and included what
formula each shade is and how said said preformed.

Navajo - Matte, off white - really poor in colour pay off, the weakest shade in the palette and one you really have to dig at to make it work.

Twilight - Metallic, slightly red tinged bronze - a great well pigmented shade that applies like a dream.

Pink Dusk - Metallic, slightly brown tinged mauve - preforms entirely the same as the Twilight shade above.

Water Color Pink - Sparkle (glitter), light cool pink with silver glitter - this is essentially a highlight shade,
very beautiful and subtle but not one for those who like great colour pay off.

Twilight Pink - Metallic, cool light pink - this applies smoothly and has great pigmentation.

Cement - Matte, light cool toned biscuit brown - creamy, soft and amazingly pigmented.
This is how all matte eyeshadows should be.

Dusk - Sparkle (glitter), mid toned pink/purple with silver glitter - very similar to Water Colour Pink
but goes on slightly deeper in tone, again a highlight shade.

Chocolate Mauve - I'm not sure how to describe the formula, essentially it is a matte purple tinged chocolate brown with lilac glitter - again this is beautifully pigmented and such an unusual shade with a soft butter texture, this makes a great alternative to black eyeshadow.

I am rather taken by this palette but must stress that some of the shades are fairly sheer and have been formulated to be this way, so some may be left disappointed in that aspect.
However if like myself neutrals are all you reach for then this is a great palette to add to your collection,
the shades with Navajo being the exception apply and blend well and wear when primed close to 9 hours.
