If you are sick fed up of my Yankee posts you can rejoice a little as this is the last post of this style
until December, when I willl share some thoughts on the Christmas scents...which are my favourites.
Anyway in the UK not many of the Yankee Halloween fragrances are readily available so sadly I only have four wax tarts to share, yet when you look on eBay in the international section the selection is bountiful
with cool merged candles, anyway I digress...
Yankee Boo-Nilla - sold out
Unlike the typical Yankee Vanilla scent which is overly sweet and over used,
this is a purer more adult if you will vanilla note, which is ironic given that it seems to
be marketed as a cutesy Halloween item.
To me this has more of a musky vanilla fragrance and reminds me of The Body Shop's Vanilla range.
Yankee Candy Corn - £2.65 via eBay - link
I have no real idea what Candy Corn is but I do know that it is a sweet treat which is wheeled out each
Halloween but like I said I have no real grasp of the concept so do feel free to correct me.
The Yankee Candy Corn scent has a sweet syrupy sugar fragrance with a slight vanilla kick.
It is a rather bizarre combo and hard to pin point but it is fitting for this time of the year
and again it is not the typical Yankee vanilla offering.
Yankee Cider Web - £2.65 via eBay - link
This has to be my favourite scent from the quad, it is a rich apple wax tart that has the tiniest
amount of spice to tone down the tartness of the apple notes.
It is bright yet comforting and a great scent not only just for Halloween but also for Autumn months.
Yankee Witches Brew - £2.70 via eBay -link
Fans of Yankee's Mid Summer Night scent will adore this as it smells almost identical.
Witches Brew is a strong patchouli fragrance that is deep, dark and slightly musky.
It has a slightly magical scent and is perfect for burning in the evening.
This is by far the most adult out of the four tarts I have and is one I like to burn in my bedroom.
Have you picked up any scents for the home this Halloween?
I love halloween yankee candles! The Cider Web one sounds lovely! Can't wait to see which ones you get at Christmas!!

You really do, wax tarts are cheaper and so much more fragrant!
Deletereally want one of these
ReplyDeleteI hope you do and I like the new profile photo :)
DeleteThese are my fav scents as well. I buy the tarts as I feel they scent the house better than the candle version:)
ReplyDeleteI agree 100% sometimes candles take a while to get going don't they?
DeleteNo, but I need to. I am a diehard Yankee candle fan, so I'll probably pick one up in the next couple of weeks!

How long do these little tart ones last, by the way? x
DeleteI can get a good week or so out of one, I never use a full tart and break them into four pieces and burn a quarter at a time :)
Deleteyum love the sound of the cider one! x

Witches brew sounds amazing.

It is a really deep but lovely evening scent :)
DeleteOh I want to try the Yankee Cider Web candle.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the one I recommend :)
DeleteI really like Witches Brew and Boo-Nilla! I like to break them up into pieces before I burn them to make them last longer. Though they last a good 5 hours!
ReplyDeleteI do that too :) otherwise I feel the scent becomes too strong and gives me a sore head.
DeleteI have Candy Corn, i haven't opened it yet but can't wait for Halloween night, burn that and watch some horror movies, perfect!! :)
