I'm sure most will be sick of hearing about BB Creams and are dreading the arrival of CC Creams?
Honestly I used to hate BB Creams...well UK/US versions anyway as when they begin popping up
at local counters they were little more than a glorified tinted moisturiser with a list of claims as long
as my arm and none of which were as much as half achieved.
Luckily most brands have since pulled up their socks and the result is that there is some really great
BB Creams on the UK high street and the most recent find for me is La Roche-Posay Hydreane BB Cream.
La Roche-Posay Hydreane BB Cream is the first BB Cream from such brand formulated with La Roche-Posay thermal spring water and has been created with sensitive skins in mind.
The formula comes in two shades - light and medium and promises to moisturise, even skin tone,
soothe and protect with an SPF20 and is free of parabens.
The formula is thick, very moisturising with a light clean scent and would be wonderful for those who have
dry skin which I'm guessing is a good number now the central heating has to be fired up?
Despite being rather hydrating it does not encourage my already oily skin to produce more oil
but that being said on days I use this I do skip my regular moisturiser as you really can have too much of a good thing!
In terms of coverage it is fairly light but does even the skin tone and will conceal any patches of redness
or general discolouration, it doesn't settle into my enlarged pores and is comfortable to wear
and does cool/soothe the skin when first applied.
I know that the light shade is rather stark when swatched on my arm but despite being the lightest shade
it is not all that crazy on my skin tone when blended out and seems to perk up and brighten my complexion.
No I couldn't wear it alone but it does work wonders as a base and does have me craving the deeper shade
for those days when all I want is a little coverage.

I've never tried anything from the LRP range but I'm really interested in trying their products. I think this is a great product for lazy days.

ReplyDeleteThanks:) x
So very welcome :)
DeleteI've never tried any LRP products but I'm always on the look out for a BB creams, I've only found one that I've liked so far (by L'Oreal). My main reason for wearing foundation/bb creams is to cover up redness so even if its only light coverage if it does that then it sounds interesting enough to try to me! x
ReplyDeleteOne Little Vice
This will do that for you with ease :) it is light yet covers little imperfections.
DeleteI didn't know they did a BB cream! It actually does sound decent, unlike the 100s of others out there x
