Okay stick with me but have you ever used a cleansing product that is just so good that you find
yourself looking forward to using it in the evening to remove your make-up ( I also day dream of my PJ's
and cosy socks...make of that what you will)?
Well this is exactly how I feel about Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel.
"A true cleansing sensation! Clarins triple-texture cleansing gel transforms into an oil that melts-away every last trace of excess oil and impurities—including the heaviest make-up.
Water-activates the gel into a silky milk that rinses skin clean.
Soothes and nourishes with Marula Oil for optimal radiance and comfort."
Of course with a title like Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel the product would have to be gel based
which it is but once on the skin it melts into a light oil product which even an oil-a-phob
(real term I swear) can get on board with.
Once water comes into contact with the gel/oil it changes into a milky cleanser that removes every little scrap
of make-up even stubborn long wear products (double wear I'm looking at you).
I must stress I haven't used this to remove eye make-up, I'm sure it would do so with ease
but I tend to use a product aimed at eye use for my eye make-up.
Sometimes with high preforming cleansing products they can strip the skin of it's natural oils
and leave the skin feeling dehydrated and tight but not Pure Melt Cleansing Gel,
it gently removes not only any make-up you may have on but also excess oil and any dirt and grime
while leaving the skin soft and squeaky clean.
I realise this post is a complete and utter love fest but as far as cleansers go this one well and truly owns
my heart and as it is unscented and kind to the skin I can happily recommend it to all!
Try it and I dare you not to come away with weak knees.

ReplyDeleteGreat review :) I would really love to try this products. I am currently using a oil-in-gel cleanser from Shu Uemura which is very similar to this one, but i am paying £25 for each tube i use which is a bit expensive. This one is cheaper and seems to do the same thing so i may give this Clarins cleanser a try next time :) Thanks for sharing

I rarely use makeup and been disgustingly lazy, I normally just splash water onto my face, in a lame attempt to convince myself that this counts as "cleansing". All that has changed though in the past week since reading Sali Hughes last column (sorry to mention another beauty columnist on your site, but she is awesome) about how to look good if you suffer with insomnia. She didn't offer any real tips for insomnia but what she did say (which initially I was a bit sceptical about, but now realise she was completely right as always), was that you could minimise how awful you might look with a poor night's sleep, if you stepped your beauty routine at night with cleansing and moisturising as this plumps up the skin no end to compensate for the lack of rest you achieve through sleep. I had free sample of Clarins melting cleanser and it is indeed amazing. I under exactly what Sundaygirl means because it feels so nice to use, and the process of massaging it on your face is actually quite comforting and relaxing. I now make it a regular part of my nightime routine and look forward to it. And this from a girl who would only splash water on her face if that. I'd find it hard to believe that if anyone tried this product they would regret it.
ReplyDeleteJust used the last of my Lancome Baume Eclat and want to go back to Clarins as I love their skin care, was going to purchase their balm cleanser but having read your review I am going for the Pure Melt instead - sounds like the Lancome one, which does the same gel/oil/milk transformation, but Clarins which I prefer!
ReplyDeleteDoes this contain mineral oil?
