I have been watching old re-runs of last of the Summer Wine (i'm old before my time)
and decided that I should make the most of the last of our Summer berries
to construct a yummy but effective berry based face mask.
What you will need...
8 Blackberries
8 Raspberries
6 Strawberries
50ml Plain Natural Yoghurt
50g of Oatmeal (optional)
(You can alter the amount of berries to suit your own needs.)
Instructions
Either lightly blitz the fruit in a blender or mash until you have a thick purée,
combine with the yoghurt and oatmeal, then leave to sit for 10 minutes.
Stir again and you are good to go...one of the simplest face masks I have made.
I recommend leaving on the skin for 10 minutes
and before removing gently massage the mixture into the skin to exfoliate
without being harsh on the skin.
As this is completely fresh it will keep when refrigerated for up to three days.
Why?
All of the above fruits contain antioxidants which can help to prevent ageing,
I also find this mixture to be great on my blemish prone skin and find it to help clear my skin a little.
Natural Yoghurt is great for sensitive skin as it calms and moisturises
and Oatmeal is a natural exfoliant again great for sensitive skin types that can't always cope with
normal scrubs.
This looks great! I bet it leaves your skin feeling really good too! [And if you don't use it all you can always just eat it, right?] Thanks for sharing - I love DIYs! xo :)
