Liz Earle Healthy Glow Powder Blush in Peony - Review

Today I have another offering from Liz Earle's vast make-up range
and I can honestly say that I never thought I'd see the day where I would be swayed by
a deep pink almost plum blush...perhaps my coral fiend days are nearing an end?

Much like all of the items in the Liz Earle make-up collective the packaging is a deep navy blue,
I read somewhere that the shade of blue packaging is in line to be trademarked?
Anyway the compact is small, round and sturdy and considering it is a plastic compact
it is rather smart and stylish with a good sized mirror housed inside.

Peony is listed on the Liz Earle website as soft raspberry shade which has been created to give a soft blush to darker skin tones but that is not to say that is not suitable for lighter skins too as a healthy-looking glow.
The pigmentation is great and although aimed at darker skin tones this is a fabulous shade to add
a light warm flush of colour to any skin tone and is really perfect for the upcoming chilly weather
as it adds a cheery red toned glow to the face which is seasonably appropriate,
if there is such a thing haha!

The formula of Peony is extremely soft to the touch yet well pressed so it doesn't shatter or smash
should you have a heavy hand, the benefit of having such a soft formula is that it applies
and blends with such ease without any product fall out what so ever too.
The colour pay off is wonderful, it is well pigmented which is always wonderful with such a rich shade
but you can also blend it out to achieve a sheer wash of colour with ease too.
I do suggest approaching with a light hand if you have light to medium skin as the colour
can be a little intense other wise.
In terms of wear it lasted a good 7 hours with no signs of fading with a primer.

  4. Gorgeous!! Absolutely beautiful blush! I like these shades a lot, although I'm a pale skinned woman, but I think powerful reddish blushes suit every skin when applied propperly :D
