On the 5th of October Clinique will be launching a foundation that is aimed at those who have
enlarged and visible pores which will be available in 12 shades (very fair to deep).
Not only does it help to conceal pores but also over time clear out enlarged pores
preventing them from appearing larger than they really are.

HOW IT WORKS:
Smooths and conceals instantly
  • Sophisticated spherical optical diffusers and soft focus materials capture and diffuse light to immediately soften and blur the appearance of large pores.

Refines Skin and Minimises Pores
  • Padina Pavonica Extract and Salvia Sclarea work together to build up the pore surface to help pores appear smaller.
  • Salicylic Acid gently clears out dead and dulling skin cells that build up around the edges of pores, keeping pores clears so they do not stretch out and appear larger than they are.
  • Laminaria Saccharina Extract Minimises sebum production that may cause pores to stretch.

So yes it comes in 12 shades which should mean there is something for most of us.
I was sent shade 2 which is Alabaster, truthfully it is a smidgen too pale for me at the moment
but not so much that I couldn't slick it on to test wear it and get a little feel for it.

As always I have included my mole as a coverage reference point.

Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Foundation is a light liquid and that is not mistake
as the idea is a lighter breathable formula is not as problematic to enlarged pores,
some not all but some heavy formulas block pores and only mask the problem temporarily
and can contribute to blocked and enlarge pores which is far from ideal.
Despite being a light liquid formula it blends into the skin really well and can be easily built up
to provide more coverage in any area you require and settles to a natural matte finish.
As for my enlarged pores it really does glide over them and gives a soft focus finish
which in turn makes my pores appear smaller than they truly are...thank goodness!
I can not see this formula presenting any problems for any skin type, it works fine with my oily skin
and doesn't cling to dry patches so it is really universal in that sense.
As for wear time, I have only tested this twice as the shade is a little off but on both occasions
it wore for around 10 hours before signs of fading crept in.

All in all a really great foundation for those like myself who have problematic pores,
and one that I will be rushing to purchase in my correct shade come October the 3rd,
expect an update when I do.

Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Foundation* £23/30ml and will launch nationwide at Clinique
counters from the 3rd of October 2012.
