This is not the first time Calvin Klein have forayed into make-up
but much like Stila they had a little break and are now back with bang
with lots of exciting products including foundation, lipsticks and nail polish
but today I want to share what I have been oohing and aahing over the last few days.

You really shouldn't be sucked in by a products packaging but I have to declare
that not only do I love the clean black and white theme that all the cosmetics in the CK One collection
have but I am more than a little mesmerized by the swivel action of this particular palette.
The lid swivels open to the side rather than unclipping/unhinging and it has provided many minutes
of entertainment...it's the little things eh?
The one draw back is that much like Nars, CK have used the dreaded rubberised finish on various
accents of all the products which is a nightmare to keep clean but the plus side is that rubber
is supposedly shock absorbent and will protect the products inside...try telling that to my now shattered
into a billion pieces Nars Casino bronzer!

The CK One eyeshadow quads come in 8 various colour palettes and I have 700 Boho
which is probably the most neutral based palette out of the bunch.
Boho features a matte shade (mid chocolate brown with a slight purple tone), a shimmer shade (stone)
and two glitters (one a red based purple and the other a light bright gold).
In my opinion there is enough colour choices and finishes to take you from day to night with ease
and as the palette features booth cool and warm shade there should be something to suit everyone.

"Powder Eyeshadow Quad by ck one Color accentuates, illuminates, defines and lines.
Easy to use eyeshadow palette with varied textures and finishes,
from pearlized to matte, light to intense."

I found Boho to really vary in terms of colour pay off and texture but I can't really hold that against CK One
as it clearly states that this will be the case in the official description.
All of the shades are soft to the touch which surprised me as the glitter shades did appear a little gritty in
pan form but rest assure that they are all finely milled and not irritating to the eyes.
The matte shade (chocolate brown) provided the highest level of colour pay off and the purple glitter
and stone shimmer shade were not far behind, the sheerest shade being the gold glitter which is very sheer
and well suited to being a highlight option.
I found all four shades easy to blend with only the gold glitter presenting notable product fall out.
In terms of wear with a primer we are talking around the 8 hour mark but again I do have oily
lids so some may experience prolonged wear with ease.
