You may be aware that The Body Shop now offer their Born Lippy lip balms in both stick and pot form,
I like and own both for very different reasons and purposes.
I prefer the stick balms as a traditional lip balm to moisturise and soothe my lips
but prefer Born Lippy potted to slick over lipstick to add hydration and to tone down colour.

I've said it countless times before that I really do not rate lip gloss I find it sticky
in most cases and uncomfortable to wear yet I do enjoy the sheen and slight dose of colour
so for me the Born Lippy potted lip balms are a great alternative particularly the watermelon option
which is a light milky yellow pink that looks great layered over most pink lipsticks.
I like to use it in place of Nars Turkish Delight Lip Gloss when wearing Mac Angel Lipstick
as it gives a similar effect.

I find the potted lip balms slightly thicker in consistency but not sticky at all,
as the Born Lippy balms are not medicated they only moisturise and soothe the lips
but do not heal any broken skin or other complaints nor do they claim to.
I find the Born Lippy balm to wear comfortable and not feel heavy or waxy on my lips.
The watermelon scent of this particular balm is sweet and artificial in a sense
but I rather enjoy it's Jolly Rancher candy type fragrance and taste haha!

The Born Lippy range has 11 different scent variations and prices start at £2 - link
