I have owned Sugarbomb by Benefit for quite a while but never got around to putting it to the test
until now but that was mostly due to most reviews online stating that it was better suited to lighter
skin tones rather than those with mid to deep colouring.
So now my summer tan has all but faded I thought i'd give this little beauty a whirl!

I have to admit that I much prefer the newer style of packaging that Benefit have using for
their boxed blushes, the flip top with the mirror inside is easier to open and if like myself you are
a little scatterbrained then you will be grateful for the fact that the lid does not remove
and as a result can not be lost!
As with all Benefit blushes the box is constructed of reinforced cardboard which is robust
but can look a little battered as time goes on, the brushes that come with the boxed blushes
are a nice thought but a little to dry and small to be used on a daily basis in my opinion.

Benefit Sugarbomb is constructed of four triangle segments of colour - two various shades of pink,
a peach shade and a dose of lilac toned mauve.
Truthfully the segments are fairly small but if you have a smallish blush brush you can use
each shade individually - I found my MAC 168se to do the job perfectly.
In my opinion this product is best used when all four shades are combined
but it should be noted that the colour pay off is pretty sheer but a great choice for lighter skin tones
as a peachy pink blush and as a highlight on mid-deep skin tones.

As with most Benefit blushes this has a firm texture but is easily picked up on any face brush
and blends into the skin with ease which is only heightened by the fact that it is a sheer finish blush
but I should point out that it is subject to product fall out which may be to blame on the style of box.
Most Benefit blushes are scented and this one doesn't disappoint with a sweet almost Chocolate fragrance
but it doesn't irritate the skin and will fade over time.
Sugarbomb is a frost finish blush but due to the shimmer being fine it isn't problematic to those
who have problems with enlarged pores or fine lines.
I find this blush to work best when layered over a peachy cream blush to heighten the colour pay off
but as a highlighter it looks wonderful paired with a peach or coral blush.
In terms of wear this lasts around 7 hours on my oily skin before signs of wear set in.
