Over the years I have dabbled with the original V05 Hot Oil treatments but to be truthful I find them
a bit of a faff waiting for them to warm up before you apply and what not, so when I saw V05's newest
addition in Superdrug - V05 Moisture Soak Elixir Shower Treatment, I knew I had to give it a whirl!
Unlike the traditional hot oil tubes you do not have to heat this treatment up, you simply apply it to dry hair leave for a minute or two, rinse, then shampoo and condition as normal
At the side of each of the tube there is little indication markers to show how much you should use for each application, I find the makers to be a fairly accurate measurement (25ml) for my hair which is really thick
and just past my shoulders but if you have longer hair you may find yourself needing a little more.
I should also mention that I only apply this to the ends of my hair, not all over.
V05 Moisture Soak Elixir Shower Treatment smells slightly medicinal with a floral kick,
the texture of the elixir is very much an oil and can be a little slippery and messy to apply.
Although it states you only have to leave this in the hair for a minute I have left it on for up to an hour in the past for a really deep conditioning treatment, I highly recommend trying this method if your hair is particularly damaged or if you have a penchant for bleach!
Not only does it aim to strengthen the hair but it has been proven to remove 75% more chlorine
than shampoo alone making it a great choice for swimmers or those off on holiday!
For £4.29 I can not recommend this enough as the results are pretty much instantaneous,
once I rinsed the treatment from my hair it felt so much softer and once dry/styled the softness remained,
my dry ends looked less damaged, sealed and had a glossy sheen.
I now use this once a week and get five full usages from each bottle which is excellent value for the price.
I will definitely be taking this on holiday with me to remove chlorine and to repair any sun damage.

I've been using this for months but I worried that it was masking rather doing anything repairing or moisturising to my hair. It does provide lovely results though :)
