I'm sure more products than what I'm about to show disappoint me but sometimes when I sit down
and type up these posts my mind only focuses in on certain products then a few days later
a terrible product comes screaming back to me and I feel terrible that I didn't include it
but I have a post up my sleeve about such products soon enough!
Alberto Balsam Coconut and Lychee Shampoo/Conditioner
I'm not a hair care snob...far from it but this purchase has taught me to stop randomly adding goodies
to my online grocery shop. I bought this duo for hitting the gym as I love coconut scented products
but rather than smell like coconut they remind me of Ghost perfume which I loathe!
Add that to a shampoo that dries out my hair and a really thin cheap feeling conditioner
and you have a recipe for disaster!
Asda Young Skin Foaming Facial Wash
Another addition to my online cart that I regret, funnily enough I purchased this for gym kit too!
The facial wash does clean and clear the skin but it is a little too strong for my skin type
and has broken me out with large painful blemishes popping up all over my face.
I don't really think this is a terrible product more a case of my skin type being sensitive
and not enjoying change haha!
Benefit They're Real Mascara
This has been my favourite for so long that it pains me so much to include it in this type of post,
i'm really hoping that the recent smudging and irritation of my eyes could be down to the weather change
or perhaps I have a dud, whatever it is it simply isn't working for me any more!
Essie Memerize Nail Polish
I'm a huge fan of Essie polishes but this colour is so blah!
Not quite navy not quite electric blue and not for me at all.
Formula wise I can not fault it though.
Did any products disappoint you this month?
aww such a shame bout the coconut shampoo and conditioner i absolutely love coconut and i loved Aberto basam strawberry and cream shampoo and conditioner, but thanks for the post very useful! xx
ReplyDeleteI always add beauty stuff to my trolley in the supermarket and then I'm like why is the bill so big?!
ReplyDeleteShame on they're real =( Hope it's a dud for you
xx
I think I tried the shampoo range a while back when mum just picked up any old shampoo from tesco, i hated it. Was terribly drying. Its a shame I find I have to spend a good £4+ for each shampoo/conditioner to get something that suits me and I enjoy using. Shame your They're Real isnt working as well as it did, I love the mascara. Cant fault it at all! I'll be gutted when mine dies because its tons more than I'd rather spend on a mascara!
ReplyDeleteIf your mascara is running low, just soak it in hot water for 20 minutes and you should be able to get at least 1 more weeks use.

I hate the Alberto Balsam products! My mum picked a few up a while ago thinking they'd be a treat and they were awful, my hair has never felt in worse condition! x
ReplyDeleteMy loreal telescopic mascara is just terrible! It's only good for lengthening my lashes! a total waste of £11!
ReplyDeleteI had a they're real mascara that caused such bad eye irritation i had to go to the doctor! but i received another one recently and its been fine, perhaps there's a few good and a few bad batches out there. still, it would be nice if the brand remained consistent!
ReplyDeleteI hate Alberto Balsam shampoo & conditioner now, it makes my hair get greasy really quickly!
I have to agree with cosmo junkie..I use the same shampoo as her and it seems to do the trick, perhaps they need to work on their coconut recipe!Great reviews are usual :)

Benefit Bad Gal has been playing up for me recently, its not flaked or smudged previously. Benefit just clearly don't like hot weather.
ReplyDeleteThat's a shame about the shampoo! I used to use that brand until I switched to Mush shampoo bars.
ReplyDeletei have tried a few things from asda young skin skin care range and the toner broke me out loads :( i don't even have sensitive skin! i think their products are slightly too harsh! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't like the conditioner either. I found it really thin as well. :(
ReplyDeleteThe same thing happened me with They're Real. It worked fine for months & I loved it but out of nowhere it started smudging like mad so I stopped using it for a few weeks. Thankfully when I started using it again it was fine! Probably the change in weather!
ReplyDeleteBeen dying to try They're Real, this is the first negative review I've heard! Hope it was just the change in weather/pollen
ReplyDeleteMy benefit They're Real irritates my eyes too, so I no longer use it, Badgal will always be my fave x
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the boots own brand coconut hair products, I think they are really great. I really love the leave in conditioner spray, even my hair dresser commented on how soft my hair was after using the spray.
ReplyDeleteBenefit They're Real, although its such a brilliant mascara I find it soo soo hard to get off! I use my eye makeup remover and 3 days later I can feel my eyelashes clumpped together and even quite sore, its the worst because its such a good product apart from that!
