One of Mac's newest launches is the limited edition Reel Sexy launch which is fronted
by silent movie star Kristen McMenamy - the collection is bright and packs a punch!
In all honesty I wasn't interested in much other than the Reel Sexy lipstick
so when it sneaked up on the Selfridges website before official launch I snapped one up!
Reel Sexy is officially listed as a light bright coral and I actually agree with Mac on this occasion.
It is a quite pale in tone and most definitely bright, on my lips it actually leans quite neon
but please keep in my mind I have really light brown lips that have next to no pigmentation.
A few have likened this shade to Mac Gotta Dash and having seen comparisons, I fully agree.
Mac Reel Sexy is an amplified crème finish which I find to wear slightly better than most Mac formulas.
I typically get 3-4 hours of wear from each application but do find the formula to be a little drying.
Reel Sexy has a light sheen and although the formula is opaque and full coverage,
I found it to apply a little streaky and settle into lines and dry patches.
Product Summary
Round Up - A bright almost neon coral/peach lip shade.
Best For - Fans of this type of shade family.
Pigmentation - (7/10) good but does apply a little patchy.

This is a really pretty colour but I think it's just a bit too light for me :-(

Went to MAC on the 1ST day this collection came out, I was super excited about the lipsticks in this collection. Bought Watch Me Simmer, since I missed it from Shop MAC, tried on Reel Sexy, did nothing for me. It looked so bad, however, Heroine, OMG, that is my new MAC love. The store was out of it, thank god I found at Nordstroms online. Waited almost a month to get it, its my favorite MAC lipstick right now. What did you think about Heroine?
