The L'Or Electric collection which for now is limited edition will launch at the end of this month
but it is currently available via Feel Unique and may have sneaked on to a few counters all ready.
L'Or Electric is to celebrate L'Oreal's 5 years as the official Make-Up Artists for the Cannes Film Festival
and is inspired by the bright lights of Cannes, think shimmering metallics infused with neon brights.
Created by Colour Director Orrea Light, the L’Or Electric Collection is inspired by the vivacity of the Eighties. Post-Modernism, Studio 54, neon, fluorescent colours and electric music; these were just a few of the buzz words on Orrea’s mood board, bringing the extravagance of the Eighties into the modern day.

The collection is not extensive but does include a good few products including three new shades
of the Color Riche Lipsticks as with the eyeshadow's each shade of lip colour is multi-faceted
and is a little more interesting than a typical flat lip shade, however I will be truthful
and say that in bullet form none of the shades excited me at all which is a first.
Yet applied I can see the beauty of two of the shades and feel others will agree after seeing some swatches.

Quickly before I show you the swatches I wanted to give you a little run down on the formula
of the Color Riche Lipsticks each of which are beautifully presented in gold sturdy cases.
The lipsticks are super light and glide on the lips, skimming any dry patches and resulting
in light as air sensation on the mouth, to me these feel as close to gel as a lip product ever really gets
and have to be one of the most comfortable formula's I have tested in a long while.
The two deeper shades applied a little more pigmented than the lightest shade but that is often the case,
I have provided a run down of each shade below with the swatches.
On the whole these apply really well with really good colour pay off in one to two slicks of colour,
I found each shade to typically wear a little over two hours but did not bode all that well
against eating/drinking but very few lip formulas do in my case anyway.
I should mention that the formula does have a slight scent/taste it's reminiscent to me
as Parma Violet sweets which I personally enjoy, it is not over powering.

402 Electric Fuchsia - I did not expect to like this shade quite as much as I do
as in bullet form in looks like a deep plum not exactly a summer shade in my opinion
yet applied it morphs into a bright fuchsia pink that has a blue tone and glossy finish.
It reminds me of a more blue toned version of Mac's Girl About Town,
a very pretty shade that will look wonderful this summer at night.

404 Prismatic Pink - This is a light blue based pink that although glossy it does have an evident frost finish
and is not entirely flattering with my skin tone much like many shades of this vain.
It reminds me of the original Mac Gaga Glam and although I can not wear it alone
I will use it to mix in with other lips shades to tone them down a little.

407 Metallic Coral - Now any regular reader of this blog will know i'm a little crazy over all coral shades
so this is of course my favourite shade in the trio, Metallic Coral is a bright coral that has a strong red tone
which can reflect gold in some lights which just adds to its dimension if you ask me
and makes it that little bit more special.

As with the rest of the L'oreal L'Or Electric Collection this hits the counters towards the end of May
but has sneaked out in some stores already and is currently available online via Feel Unique.
