Sisley Instant Perfect

With the weather slightly becoming milder and mothers day on the horizon,
I thought now would be a good time to share my views on Sisley Instant Perfect.

Sisley Instant Perfect

As with the majority of Sisley items it comes presented in minimalist style packaging,
in this case a light peachy pink matte plastic tube hold the contents
and it is adorned with little silver touches such as the lid and the font.
The tube not only looks pretty but it really ease to use
and the slim nozzle gives great control over the level of product dispensed.

Sisley Instant Perfect

Sisley Instant Perfect is very much a primer as you use it before applying your base
and its aims are to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, diminish shine, tighten pores,
erase blemishes, refine the skin's texture and prolong the wear of make-up.
Most of us will have one if not more of the above elements we would like to tweak!

Sisley Instant Perfect

The primer itself is fairly thick and feels rather silken, if you have tried Benefit The Porefessional
you will understand entirely what I mean as in terms of texture and consistency.
This is not a product I suggest applying over the entire face but to the areas you require it to work.
I tested it on two areas that I had the most problems with - my forehead to see if it would reduce the shine
and prolong the wear of my foundation as that is the first place my make-up slips from.
I also tested it on my cheeks as again they are oily, have a few blemishes and enlarged pores.

Sisley Instant Perfect

On my forehead it instantly mattified the area, allowing my foundation to glide on with ease.
Throughout the day I did notice that the shine was very much reduced
and less noticeable even towards the end of the day, it terms of prolonging my foundation
I would say I got an extra two hours of wear which is not bad all things considering.
With my cheeks again it gave a smooth matte surface to work with and it did disguise my pores somewhat.
The blemishes on my chin also appeared less noticeable as the primer made the overall area of my cheeks
smoother and all round easier to work with when applying foundation and blush.
As my cheeks are also oily I tested to see if it would prolong any make-up applied to the area
and I did find that again I got a good few extra hours of mattified skin!
I quickly want to mention that this is silicon based due to anyone's allergy's etc.

My final thoughts on this primer are that yes it does work and work very well
but the price tag is fairly hefty so I understand this may put of a few.
Luckily the formula is thick and creamy so a little goes a long way.
That being said it is a wonderful product that does all it claims to
and after using it for a fortnight I am more than likely to purchase it again...
even if my knees do wobble a little at the price haha!
