With summer on the horizon, I have been a little braver with my lip choices.
Okay I keep the brighter shades for night wear but none the less the nude shades are on reserve for now!
What better way to get in a bright and cheery mood than with a slick of Orange lipstick?
The packaging of the Sisley Hydrating Long Lasting Lipstick line is beyond luxurious.
First of all the lipstick bullet is sculpted with waves and stamped with the Sisley logo,
the lipstick case is beautiful - a gold an black work of art that you will want to show off
and the cherry on top is that it comes with a sleek black velvet pouch to store it in.
Aesthetics aside the lipstick and case are well constructed and feel very sturdy.
Sisley Bright Orange lives up to its name and delivers a bold orange lip with ease.
The shade is a true Orange with the slightest yellow undertone.
I found the formula to have a slight sheen and I guess some will say this is close to Mac Morange
but I don't find them to be close in shade at all and I don't really have anything similar in my stash to properly compare Sisley Bright Orange to.
The shade is bright but not so much that you can't wear it for day wear due to the level of pigmentation anyone could wear this shade/formula.
The formula of the Hydrating Long Lasting Lipsticks is truly lovely,
it glides on like a gel and instantly feels hydrating with contact of the lips.
The colour pay off is great, one quick slick is all you need for full pigmentation.
It is light, comfortable and moisturising all in one quick application.
The sculpted bullet makes for easy application meaning you can skip using a brush if you so wish.
As with any bold lipstick I do recommend using a lip liner to prevent the colour bleeding.
The formula don't highlight any dry patches or any fine lines.
In terms of wear I found the formula to last just over 4 hours with ease
so great for anyone who doesn't have time to constantly touch up their lipstick.

Of course, I was inclined to approve of this lipstick on color alone. I agree with you - this isn't much like MAC Morange - it's a bit too deep and the finish is different. I reaaaaaaaaaaally love the way it looks on you!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful colour. And the awesome shape of it - I want!
