As a really young teen I dabbled with The Body Shop's Shimmer Cubes
but as with all things your tastes and shopping habits change with age.
I went through a good few years of being a complete brand snob and only bought high end cosmetics,
Why? Well because I was young, foolish and a bit of snob now I will shop anywhere and everywhere
and one shop that always brings a smile to my face is The Body Shop!
Honestly does any other shop ever smell better than The Body Shop?

The Body Shop's Shimmer Cubes are packaged really well,
not only do they come housed in a transparent square compact but each cube is individually packaged
so you can pop out a few for travel if you don't require all four shades at once.
The case is sturdy and practical not only in size but due to it being transparent you can see exactly
what is inside with such ease.

The Body Shop's Shimmer Cubes in Green consists of four aqua green toned shades
which compliment one and other and can be used alone or blended with one and other.
All of The Body Shop's Shimmer Cubes can be used wet or dry depending on the effect you require.
The Green quad is the perfect set of shades for the upcoming spring season.

A quick run down of the shades in the Green palette :
01 Pure Turquoise - Very true to the name, leans more blue than green.
02 Mint Green - A light pastel green shade with a silver accent.
03 Silver Grey - A bright silver shade that leans slightly green in tone.
04 Forest Green - A Deep green shade than has a blue undertone.

The formula of The Shimmer Cubes has changed vastly since I last used them,
gone is the excessive fall out and in place we have firm texture shadows that are well pigmented
and look equally great wet or dry.
I found the formula easy to work with, they built up easily if strong colour is your thing
and they also blended out really well too should you require a lighter effect.
One thing I should mention is that each shade is metallic in finish (no glitter)
and that there is no variation of formula across the shade spectrum.
Without primer these last on my oily eye lids for around 4 hours before creasing
but with primer this lasted a good full 10 hours with no signs of creasing or fading.
