January wasn't as bad as I had anticipated but in a way I am glad it is over,
I'm sure most feel the same - January drags and is generally a light month in terms of finances.
Anyway let me share what rocked my boat in the cosmetic world for the first month of 2012!
Benefit's Watt's Up - My current go to highlighting product, it highlights with such ease
but never looks obvious or overdone. I really do love and recommend this product.
Revlon Color Burst Lip Gloss in Sunset Peach - Being a huge fan of all cosmetics that are peachy
and coral toned this slots perfectly into my daily make-up bag. I particularly like to slick it over Barry M
Shade 147 to make it less drying!
Barry M Lip Paint Shade 147 - A must have peach toned coral lipstick, widely known as a dupe
for Mac Ever Hip but has a semi-matte finish. This has quickly became a staple in my stash
and i'm not ashamed to admit I own a few duplicates!
Look Beauty Tangerine Cream Lipstick - I truly love this shade, it's peach yet understated and natural.
It is just such a beautiful tone and one I can't wait to rock with a tan!
Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick in Pinky Beige - It seems we all love this shade going by the
comments on the individual post about the lipstick. The formula is amazing, crazy pigmented
and the most moisturising lipstick formula I have ever encountered.
L'oreal Infaillible Eyeshadows (various shades) - I am a complete convert, I simply adore the formula
and lasting power these little pots offer and will continually be on the look out for other shades to add
to my trio of nude shades.
Korres Lip Butter in Mango - I dislike the artificial scent but really enjoy the light tint and glossy finish
this tinted balm delivers not to mention that it hydrates lips too.
Mac Painterly Paint Pot - If like I you wear a lot of nude and neutral eye shades you need this in your life,
it is the best base shade I have encountered and can be utilized in a multitude of ways including
being a light wash of colour!
Topshop Cream Blushes (various shades) - These little funky compacts of cream blush not only deliver
great pigmentation but they dry down to a beautiful dewy finish and last the pace of the day, even on oily skin. For £6 these are unbeatable in my opinion.
What have you been favouring this past month?
Hehe you reminded me of the Julie Andrews song ;)
ReplyDeleteAbout the Mac Painterly- it's great indeed as an eyeshadow base but it runs a little pinky on me, wonder if Soft Ochre is a better match... The Korres lip butters are amazing, but IMO those in the stick form are far more superior than these in the pot- except Jasmine, of course! Also, speaking of peachy lipsticks, the combo you're wearing in your pic is amazing! xx
haha I love musicals haha :)
DeleteYou may well be right :) I haven't tried soft ochre as I love painterly so much :)
I really want to try the stick lip butters but I can't source them :(
aww thank you :)
Every time you post about the Look Tangerine Cream Lippy I want it so bad! But they never have testers when I go to the Superdrug that stocks it :(
ReplyDeleteThat really sucks :(
DeleteI love the look of everything you've mentioned. I did go out and buy the Maybelline lipstick after I saw it on your blog, and I LOVE it! Even more than any of my MAC lipsticks, so thank you :)
ReplyDeleteYay! It is amazing isn't it :)
DeleteI've been reading your blog for quite a while now, and am so impressed with your knowledge of all products! I really love reading it!
ReplyDeleteaww thank you so much that is far too kind :)
DeleteAll of these products looks fab. I really like the look of the Mac Paint Pot and the Maybelline lipstick. Will definitely be on the look out for these on my next shopping trip. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Jo :)
DeleteI really do love and recommend both :)
I SO need 'Pinky Beige' in my life! It reminds me a bit of MAC 'Blankety' but not as pink...So pretty :)
ReplyDeleteI agree :) I LOVE IT haha :)
DeletePleaseeee, those L'Oreal eyeshadows are making me crazy... Is there any possibility you know to buy some shades that are not available in Spain (sahara treasure, bronze goddess or that reddish black one I don't remember the name...)?? Thank you...
ReplyDeleteI will have a good look about and let you know asap :)
DeleteThank you so much :D
DeleteI haven't had much luck finding stockists for spain but this ebay seller has a good few http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Fresh-Image-Cosmetics/Eyeshadow-/_i.html?_fsub=7283445&_sid=190114923&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322 sorry I can't be of much better help :(
DeleteThank you so much! I'll have a look :D
DeleteI personally,am so glad to see the arse end of January!!
ReplyDeleteIn other news... I love Topshop cream blushers. A lot. I also love Korres, anything, the vanilla and cinnamon shower gel is gorgeous. My fave lip balm is the Guava scented one because it's colourless.
Happy February! :D xx
Me too :) and I love your profile photo!
DeleteAh I need some colour haha i'm funny like that haha :)
Happy Feb to you too! x
The Revlon gloss looks lovely, I'm sure it looks fab on you! :) I love how you title these posts "these are a few of my favourite things" rather than "January favourites" :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :) aww thanks I like to be a little different :)
DeleteI would really love it if in either your sunday shop the stash or your monthly favourites posts you would put a FOT(week/month), with the products you have mentioned on, would be something different. Just a little idea. Great post! xx
ReplyDeleteI agree that would be helpful and something I will definitely attempt to do in the future :)
Deletethanks for the idea :)
great post!! thanks for sharing (:
ReplyDeletemost welcome and thank you :)
DeleteYour pictures make everything so amazing, no-ones posts make me covet things like yours!!

Loving your favourites. The Revlon lip gloss looks amazing. I also really want to try Look Beauty but I can't buy it near me yet! xx
ReplyDeleteI love your picks! Seeing Barry M's 147 so often has me lemming really hard. I'm contemplating just buying it on eBay because I can't stand not having it! The topshow blushes and the infallible eyeshadows are also on my buy list.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been favoring much of anything this month. I'm trying to start using up more of my neglected products. ; _ ; It's rather difficult to break myself out of a mold but I will try~
