Again I'm going to let the photographs do the talking mostly as I don't feel the need to go into great detail.
Like all Mac lipsticks this has a soft vanilla scent that is not detectable once on the lips.
Beach Sands is a Cremesheen formula which means it applies like an opaque gloss
and feels moisturising on the lips but unlike a gloss it has high-ish colour pay off!
I typically get around two hours from Mac Cremesheen formulas.

Beach Sands is an odd colour, yes it is in the nude family but the yellow tone is rather prominent
and not at all flattering on me, it yields slightly green/grey in some lights but this may be my colouring.
It is officially listed as a "light tan" shade which I can not argue with but the yellow undertone is
just too over bearing for me personally and far from flattering!
The main problem really is that it is too close to my skin tone
thus looking rather odd!
Again this is a limited edition shade and available from Mac counters and stores for a limited time only

That does look a bit too grey!

I agree a very odd shade!
DeleteAww thank you :)
Wow, I think it actually looks quite nice on you, BUT it is very close to your actual skin tone so I see what you mean! Love the photos though, you actually used sand <3 xx
ReplyDeleteHaha thank you :) in reality it looks terrible on when seen with the rest of my face..such an odd shade! Aww thanks the sand was a pest i'm still hoovering it up haha!
DeleteIt IS very similar to your skin tone-almost looks like you've just swiped some gloss on! x
ReplyDeleteIt does look like that now you've said!
DeleteWell I actually like it! To me, Freckletone is more yellow-toned and unflattering, between these twi I'd choose Beach Sands ;)

DeleteThis is a very strange shade! Quite dislike it.
ReplyDeleteIt gives that slight concealer lips look, not a great look!

I have to agree!
Deleteit looks like a concealer on your lips! it looks so perfect on the bullet though.
ReplyDeletesadly it does :(
Deletewow so similar to ur face colour - haha try usin it as concealer!
ReplyDeletehaha a little too greasy for that!
DeleteIt does kind of give you "concealer lips". Definitely a yellow based color, and looks sort of gray. I don't think it would flatter many skin tones. Very creative pictures! I always love your pictures!

ReplyDeleteoh I really dislike it haha
DeleteThis is that one colour I'm always drawn to, but it ends up looking terrible on my lips. Thank goodness for beauty blog swatches.

I have the same problem yet I continue to buy them!
DeleteYes thank goodness for them to save us from buying terrible shades haha!
Aaah. This is how most nude lipsticks end up on me. Either that or way way way too pale. I feel your pain!
