I will be completely honest my taste in cosmetic shades veers towards the neutral spectrum,
I enjoy viewing make-up looks that are colourful but I know it is not something I'd re-create.
The only way I ever inject colour into my eye looks is on the lower lash line
and even then it is seldom...plain jane that is me!
As I am completely enamoured by the Inglot gel liners I was keen to put the pencil version to the test.
With most pencil liners this is wooden and functions by sharpening the soft lead,
which does sharpen extremely easily and wastes very little product.
Shade 28 is a deep teal shade which has a nice blend of blue and green
but admittedly it does lean more on the green spectrum opposed to the blue.
Green shades are not completely complimentary on my grey/blue eyes
so I was a little surprised that it worked so well and gave the illusion of larger eyes,
always a nice bonus when you have small hooded eyes like I do.
The formula is super soft and glides on which such ease, somewhat similar to a gel liner.
It did not require warming up nor did it tug or pull at the delicate eye area.
Some liners can irritate my eyes but this one was really gentle and no streaming ensued
even when applied to my waterline which is notoriously sensitive.
The colour pay off is fair, I wouldn't call it incredibly pigmented nor would I say it was poor
but it is not on par with the gel liners in the same range, you could build this shade up
but who really wants to do that with an eyeliner?
In terms of wear it lasted around 3 hours on my water line and 5 on the lower lash line
which is average for my eye and skin type.
