Nicki Minaj for O.P.I Save Me

I don't know what possessed me to buy this polish,
lord knows I'm no fan of Nicki Minaj yet I own this and Mac's Pink Friday lipstick
and yes I will pick up her next venture with Mac when it launches next month.
One of life's unsolved mysteries I guess?

Save Me is supposedly the shade that has been predicted to be the sell out shade.
We see this all the time with O.P.I polishes, some become cult shades such as Rainbow Connection
and Mad Hatter that become rarer than rare to pick up and when you do source one
you best believe you will pay a small fortune to have the privilege of owning such shade.
In all honesty I feel O.P.I Save Me lacks such magic as the previous sell out shades,
personally the stand out shade for me in the Nicki Minaj collection is Metallic 4 Life.

Save Me is a clear base that has a mixture of tiny silver glitter flakes
combined with large blue and holographic glitter chips - strand glitter if you will.
In the bottle it looks quite pretty but I do feel the shade would have been better suited
for the Festive period not a spring release but that may just be my thinking?

I found O.P.I Save Me to apply fairly well, it dried quickly,
however it was in no way opaque after three coats.
I would hazard a guess that you would gain an opaque coverage after five or so coats
which is more effort than I would ever have the patience to conduct.
I feel this polish is best suited for layering over another shade to gain a sparkly top coat finish.
