Clarins Colour Breeze Face and Blush Palette

This February sees the launch of Clarins Spring collection - Colour Breeze.
"This season colour washes over a flawless complexion as the first signs of Spring
are encapsulated in radiant tones of delicate to enhance and illuminate,
for perfect bright and breezy beauty."
Clarins Colour Breeze Face and Blush Palette pretty much captures the essence of Spring!

I always admire the packaging of Clarins products, they are beautifully presented particularly the powder
formula items in light gold metal casings that is simple, elegant, classic and yet beautiful.
They feel luxurious due to the weight and high polish finish of the casing,
each item is delicately embossed with a "C" and come with a large great quality mirror inside the compact.
as well as featuring the appropriate applicators dependant on the product housed inside.
Clarins Colour Breeze Face and Blush Palette does not come with a brush
but that shouldn't bother the majority as I'm sure we all prefer our own full sized brushes.

Clarins Colour Breeze Face and Blush Palette

Clarins Colour Breeze Face and Blush Palette is described as a skin enhancing blush (with three shades)
which is embossed into a delicate powder which can be used alone (the main fawn shade)
or mixed harmoniously together for a subtle touch of radiance.
As you can easily see the blush/powder is beautifully presented with pretty windmill type flowers
of colour embossed on to the main body of powder, visually it is a sight to behold.

My first impressions of Clarins Colour Breeze Face and Blush Palette is that it wouldn't work as a blush
on my skin tone and I have to say I was right.
The little flowers do add a subtle hit of colour to the design but as the pink one is so small
it adds very little colour to the final shade when swirled together.
As the palette is dominated by neutral fawn type shades that is what the palette produces when
mixed together using a blush or face brush to apply the product.
For me this is an illuminating face powder, I have swept this on and it set my make-up beautifully
providing a matte type finish with a subtle healthy glow to my face.
I looked instantly healthier and throughout the day people commented on my "glow".
I have dull skin compliments are few and far between so excuse me while I gloat haha!

Clarins Colour Breeze Face and Blush Palette

Clarins Colour Breeze Face and Blush Palette is a firm to the touch formulation
however when used with a brush you will have no difficulties picking up the powder.
There is next to none fall out and it applies like a dream,
providing a light veil of colour and radiance with no chalky powder residue and a medium coverage.
It delivers a beautiful healthy radiant finish all the while being matte,
it one of the few illuminating products I have encountered that is not overly shimmery!
This has fine and tiny shimmer particles that look subtle and do not highlight flaws.
As the general shade is rather light (the little flowers made next to no difference in colour pay off)
I would say this is best suited as a face powder/setting powder on light to medium skin tones
but could very well work as a highlighting product on darker skin tones.
This is a limited edition palette and most likely the item that will sell out quickly in my opinion.
