I was a little hesitant to post about my newest Yankee Scents,
it just seems rather odd posting about Summer scents when Spring isn't even upon us yet.
However it is a rather cold and snowy day here in Glasgow
so today I have began burning some of the Summer scents in a bid to cheer myself up!
I'd quickly like to mention that some of the scents mentioned today are new for 2012
and some are just firm bright fruity favourites that are not new for this year.
Beach Flowers - Floral - link
"Like delicate keepsakes from the sea...the lovely scent of tuberose,
lily, hyacinth blossoms balanced with soft watery notes"
To me this smells a little like talcum a.k.a baby powder. It is mild and delicate
but does make me feel a little sleepy haha!
A dreamy type of scent that is perfect for burning before you hit the hay.
This is a new scent for 2012.
Beach Wood - Fresh - link
"Seasoned by the elements...this modern blend of vetiver, salt air and driftwood
creates an intriguing fragrance." Don't laugh when I say this smells like Head and Shoulders shampoo.
It is fresh and ever so slightly masculine and aquatic which does make a nice change. New for 2012.
Coastal Waters - Fresh - link
"Clean and bracing...the rush of cool ocean spray from the braking surf
clears the mind and refreshes the soul."
Very much a fresh and refreshing scent I liken it to the same type of aquatic scent
and the likes of Davidoff Cool waters et al.
Again a new scent for 2012
Bahama Breeze - Fruit - link
"There's cool summer refreshment in this tropical blend of pineapple, grapefruit and mango"
Smells exactly like a pinacolda cocktail, has summer written all over it.
Light it and you will be dreaming of a cocktail and a sandy beach!
Pink Sands - Fruit - link
"It's an exotic island escape in the beautiful mix of bright citrus,
sweet floral's and spicy vanilla."
Perhaps my favourite scent by Yankee although it is not mentioned in the official description
I can definitely detect hints of Grapefruit, a lovely fresh but feminine scent. One for girly girls everywhere!
Napa Valley Sun - Warm - link
"Napa Valley Sun captures fragrant rays of a golden, powdery amber with a vanilla flower finish."
I personally love this warm, milky yet creamy scent. It reminds me a little of the scent of
a sun lotion. It is comforting and perfect to light in the evening.
So that is my recent Yankee additions,
I do have a few US exclusives winging their way to me
so I'll share them as soon as possible.
They look good. So curious as to how they smell though. I'm sure it's lovely! :)

DeleteI bought some Yankee candles after reading your posts on them last year- they are amazing. My favourite was the Christmas cherry one, sadly all gone now. Thinking I may have to try the pink sands one :) xxx

DeleteI wouldn't usually think of Yankee Candles for the summer - to me they're a winter/Christmas treat, but Bahama Breeze and Pink Sands sound lovely. Nothing wrong with pretending it's warm and sunny outside!
