Molton Brown Fabled Berries & Lapp Pine Bath and Body Collection Review

I love Christmas - just in case you haven't noticed the barrage of festively themed posts I've been pushing your way daily - but it's all over and done so quickly isn't it? As such I am always really hesitant to purchase anything overtly "Christmas-sy" for my home, sure I'll purchase the odd candle or two but even then, I do tend to steer clear of loud pine and cinnamon scents. To be blunt, the 25th is just one day and then it is back to the not so welcomed reality of winter; personal use products have fairly skimpy expiry dates, I want to get my money's worth and if that means no jolly fragranced shower gel and hand lotion, so be it. If you are of a similar mind frame, then you may find the new Molton Brown Fabled Berries & Lapp Pine Bath and Body range beautifully suited to your home and of course needs.

Did the gleaming and jingling bells, delicately wrapped most of the products within the Molton Brown Fabled Berries & Lapp Pine Bath and Body initially lure me in? Absolutely but as they are just a sweet but removable extra, they don't feel obviously festive displayed (and of course in-use) in your bathroom or kitchen. After I got past all the fun of a jingly-jangly handwash, the beautiful and almost alpine-like fragrance of the Molton Brown Fabled Berries & Lapp Pine products reeled me in.

Molton Brown Fabled Berries & Lapp Pine Bath and Body Collection Review

Despite the initial festive timing of the release of Molton Brown Fabled Berries & Lapp Pine collection, this is a certified Winter fragrance: it is cool, crisp and as green as the great outdoors, complete with a dusting of snow. Their is no pangs of the nostaglia such as collecting a lush and fresh Christmas tree despite the pine note, rather it is more earthen and paired back with a hint of oakmoss and a crisp, and almost tart hint of juniper berries. I'd go as far as describing this as rugged (but entirely unisex), outdoorsy and reminiscent of a cold snap spent in Iceland in a log cabin. If you can use your imagination, I'm sure you too could be transported to such places of wonder whilst washing your hands...well maybe.

Molton Brown Fabled Berries & Lapp Pine Bath and Body Collection Review

If you do fall thick and fast for the fragrance of Molton Brown Fabled Berries & Lapp Pine, the good news is that there are numerous products of this scent including a hand wash (£18), hand lotion (£20), shower gel (£20), candle (a personal favourite of mine) and a stand alone cologne, so there really is something for every need and budget. As mentioned above in my opinion, the Molton Brown Fabled Berries & Lapp Pine Candle (£42) is one of the stand out pieces of this collection, it adds a welcoming woody yet frosty green fragrance to any room, as well as creating both warmth and ambience.

This is the perfect collection and fragrance for anyone who wants to prolong the festive scents of the season, or simply like myself isn't a fan of anything overly Christmas-sy or traditional. You can shop the entire collection here - link.
