A Summer-Ready Detox Challenge with Champneys

Champneys Detox-in-a-Box Kit Review

This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Champneys, all thoughts and opinions expressed within this post are my own.

The sun is shinning, the beach is calling and my skin is less than ready for the occasion - I have dry patches, the remains of old self tanner and generally don't feel that great about getting my limbs out to embrace the current sunny spell. I don't believe in being "beach body ready" and won't diet nor exercise just for the Summer, but I do find I feel so much better about myself when I take the time to both pamper myself and rid my body of any dry, scale-y skin - I paint such a pretty picture don't I?

Luckily for me there is one brand that I can turn to for not only instant results, luxurious products but also with an affordable price tag too - Champneys, namely Champneys Detox-in-a-Box . A nifty trio of three Spa favourite treatments that will leave you looking and feeling great, and all in the comfort of your home too - I mean who really has the time to visit a real Spa these days?

All three products (and the super clever and convenient body massager) have been created to uncover softer, firmer and dare I say visibly radiant skin, especially if used within conjunction of one and other. Let's take a closer look at the Champneys Detox-in-a-Box shall we?

First up we have Champneys Detox Skin Firming Shower Scrub (250ml), a beautifully scented, soft and easy to body scrub that will gentle buff and polish your skin into a super soft state. To use simply massage onto damp skin using deep circular movements and rinse off - for all fellow self tanners out there, this is wonderful for keeping a tan (real or faux) wonderfully even.

I've never really used anything quite like Champneys Detox Hip & Thigh Firming Mud (350g)Smooth before but now that I have, I am hooked. This clever mask like substance not only deeply cleanses the skin but tightens and tones too. Forget the Summer if ever you have an event in which you need your bare legs to look their best this is the product to turn to. Yes it is a little messy but it is worth it for the end results - you need to try this!

What is the point in creating perfectly polished skin if it is not deeply nourished and hydrated? Every single person needs a great body butter and what better than the wondrous Champneys Detox Skin Firming Body Butter (300ml). This thick and super luxurious moisturiser not only moisturises like no other but it also boasts skin firming qualities too, use regularly for soft, supple and toned skin - it also doubles up as a great after-sun.

Lastly we have the rather clever Champneys Massager tool- much like you would with a dry brush you use this on the skin in circular movements to boost the body circulation. With regular use you may well see an improvement on dimpled skin and as the tool is plastic you can use it in conjunction with a few of the aforementioned products - bliss.

I was challenged to use the Champneys Detox-in-a-Box contents for a week to see if I could detoxify my skin, my end goal with to create smoother, less lumpy and generally more nourished limbs. Did I succeed? Yes, I'm truly shocked by how quickly the Champneys Detox-in-a-Box products began to garner results, in the instance of the scrub and body mud it was all but instant; as for the firming body butter after two full applications my skin looked and felt more taught.

Forget a Summer body, this clever and affordable kit will ensure that your skin looks great all year round and may just put a little spring in your step.

To add to your glow, why not try the following smoothie recipe that Champneys have created to coincide with the Champneys Detox-in-a-Box kit - I promise it is super simple to make, tastes delicious and counts as one of your five a day. Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks, or in my case a young-ish dog a new habit.

Blend 150g in total, equal quantities of:
  • Broccoli
  • Mango
  • Pineapple
  • Banana
  • Spinach
  • Celery

These should be frozen.
Once blended add 200ml of orange juice, serve over ice.

You can find the Champneys Detox-in-a-Box kit via Boots for £20 - link.
