bah

I realise that 2017 seems a long way off but when you are planning on finally spreading your wings and leaving the family home for the first time, it does seem a little daunting. I realise my time would be better spent researching safe neighbourhoods and electricity rates but let's face it, that is nowhere near as fun as envisioning the perfect apartment, now is it? While my head is firmly in the clouds, let me share a few dream home purchases.

Beauty at Home Wish List

1, Every home has a scent - sometimes it is wet dog, or pasta sauce, both charming in their own way but if I had a choice, I would love my home to exude the rich, robust and slightly spicy tone of Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir. In a dream world my yet to be bought dinning table would feature the large and utterly exquisite Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Deluxe Candle and my fireplace would house the Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Reed Diffuser - the later is probably as far as this wish will go.

2, At the moment I am very much going through a Aesop phase, there is not an Aesop product that I have tried and not instantly fell in love with. In my mind, my perfect apartment will feature crisp white walls, complimented with exposed brick - delusion is a grand thing huh? With hopes for a home with an industrial-esque vibe, what could look better at sinks than Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash  and Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm. One day I shall order two of each and have beautifully scented and cared for hands...one day.

3, Perhaps the most affordable and dare I say frivolous item on my list but one I couldn't not add - Bath and Body Works Palm Trees Wallflower Plug. Basically this is a super glamorous fragrance plug-in (not overly dissimilar to those found in Supermarkets), the main difference is that this is super pretty and that the re-fills come in just about every scent imaginable. I will pick up one while in the US this Summer.

4, Diptyque candles are beautiful aren't they? Yes I have quite the collection of half used fragrances littered around my bedroom but a new home deserves a new candle or two surely? For my bathroom I have plans to purchase the Diptyque Eucalyptus Scented Candle and the Diptyque Menthe Verte Scented Candle - does bathing get much more luxurious than this?

5, At home we don't have a bath (don't worry we have a shower) and as such I do dream of long soaks in the tub accompanied by a flickering candle and bath oil. Once I move out I have promised myself that a trip to Lush will be on the cards to stock up on all the bath bombs I can carry, and to stop by Space.NK for a bottle or two of Aromatherapy Associates Bath Oil - bliss.

6, A last minute addition but one I couldn't help but add to my wish list and maybe even my NYC shopping list too - Bath and Body Works Room Sprays - a quick burst of scent without looking for matches to light a candle. Genius and I can imagine the scents are divine too.

Realistically, most if not all of the above products will be put on the back burner, until I purchase the essentials like a bed and light bulbs...you know how it is.
