I must warn that this is no way a deep and thought provoking beauty post, then again my posts can seldom be described as such ha! After a heated conversation about winning the lottery or coming into a sudden cash winfall, all talk centred around the deluded fantasy of running amok in the Selfridges beauty halls without a care in the world. I then really got to thinking - what would I seriously purchase if money was no object. What are my dream beauty purchases?
My first and maybe not as frivolous beauty haul would be to purchase a bottle and tub of every variant of the Kneipp Bath Salts and Herbal Bath Soaks. Realistically speaking I could afford to do so right now and live to tell the tale but as it is so excessive to own that many bath products at one go, I will of course refrain from being so outlandish. Maybe one day, I'll own a large enough bathroom that I'll be able to house the entire Kneipp range but until then I will slowly but surely work my through my small but very much appreciated stash. If you have yet to try Kneipp I can not recommend Kneipp Pure Bliss Bath Salts - they smell incredible, last forever, soften the skin, as will these ease aches and pains.
I love all aspects of the beauty world from a budget lipstick to Spa experiences, and all that is in-between but I think we all know that my heart belongs to fragrance. From candles, Eau de Parfumes and purse-sized rollerball pick me up's, I can and do happily spend a fortune each year on smelling great. If money was no object, I would most likely splurge on a bottle of every Tom Ford Private Blend Eau de Parfum, neatly line them up on my dresser and retire smug in the knowledge that I'd completed one of my most frivolous life goals. That of course is happening no time soon and even if I was rich beyond my wildest dreams, I would talk myself out of such decision and put the money to better use...well maybe.
My last dream beauty wish? To own every Jo Malone and Diptyque candle; can you imagine just how amazing my tiny flat would smell and I'd never need to purchase a glass tumbler for make-up brushes or cotton buds again. I of course jest and again wouldn't purchase 30+ candles in one setting, I don't even behave like that when visiting Bath and Body Works. A lovely new high end candle is a wonderful treat every now and then and that's how it should be - a treat!
Humour me, what would you purchase if you had more money than sense?
Gorgeous photos! I so want the limited edition Diptyque candle, the pink packaging is beaut! xo

All of Charlotte tilbury's matte lipsticks!
ReplyDeleteFirst instinct: the entire Tom Ford and Charlotte Tilbury line. But then again, what would I have to look forward to? So instead I'll settle for a luxury product every month. Starting with the TF eye shadow palettes. I would however buy all the brushes I've been eyeing from Zoeva (which is all of them, basically).
ReplyDeleteThat candle looks so pretty I really want to get one!

IT ALL! haha I am so used to living on a budget I am so sick of it! lol First thing I would do is buy a house and go freeking nuts in Next Home, it would look like a next home home. Then I would go to Glasgow and go crazy in Frasers. Every Jo Malone Candle, I would have a party at the Tom Ford counter then build another MAC palette. I would then go to SpaceNK and buy all the ambient lighting products, oh and all the diptique candles... I have no idea how I would carry it all.. but I am sure I would manage! I would also have to get a Chloe bag, a YSL bag and probably a Mulberry too. Can you tell I think about this a lot? ha.

Haha I loved reading this post, such a good idea! I'm with you on the Jo Malone candles and I'd probably want to get every perfume and soap as well! I'd also love to own every single Charlotte Tilbury product - that's kind of my frivolous life goal ;) xxx
ReplyDeletePut it this way - I'd never be painting my own nails or plucking my own eyebrows again!
