At Last Purse Sprays Hit the UK

Gucci Bamboo Purse Spray Review

I'm sure I am not alone in stating that I am utterly bewildered by the lack of roller-ball and purse-sized fragrance options available within the UK? When you visit the likes of Sephora, U.S based or otherwise, there are entire stands dedicated to the world of travel convenient fragrances - yet it is a concept that is somewhat lost here in Britain.

Well perhaps not, as often with many beauty innovations, change begins at the top and slowly filters its way down the ranks. Leading the way with a beautiful yet handbag friendly bottle design is Gucci Bamboo Eau de Parfum; come early February, the brand will unveil the above travel bottle and I for one could not be more excited.

Gucci Bamboo Purse Spray Review

As a subtle nod to the signature note of Gucci Bamboo, the travel sized purse spray has been fashioned as a slinky, chrome stick of bamboo - in my opinion, it almost has the appearance of a wand. The slim, long-line design means that you can slip the bottle of fragrance into even the dinkiest of handbags, ready to freshen up in a moments notice and/or pop it into a travel bag - trust me when I say that the sturdy metal flanker will survive even the roughest of journeys.

If you are unfamiliar with Gucci Bamboo Eau de Parfum, purse spray or otherwise let me give you a quick introduction. Gucci Bamboo is rightly listed as a modern, feminine, gentle and multi-faceted fragrance, I'd go a step further and state that it is very crisp and clean - almost like freshly washed cotton. The main note composition is simple yet interesting with hints of : Bergamot,Ylang-Ylang, Casablanca Lily and Orange Blossom at the heart, completed with creamy and dare I say it rather dreamy hints of Sandalwood, Tahitian Vanilla and Amber. It is beyond easy to wear and will comfortably take you from work to play and all that is in-between. I can not begin to tell you how many compliments I receive when I wear this effortlessly cool yet classic scent - promise me at the first opportunity that arises you will test this out?

The Gucci Bamboo Purse Spray may not land for another few weeks but I think we can all agree that it hints at a shift within the fragrance world. Perhaps our trusty Travalo's will no longer be needed in the months to come?

As mentioned above the Gucci Bamboo Purse Spray will launch nationwide on February the 22nd and retail for £29/15ml. Until then you can find Gucci Bamboo Eau de Parfum via Boots - link.

  2. Oh these are so handy!! I really need to get some good perfumes for my bag too, it's annoying to chug around a long one and really annoying when you forget it (and need it) ergh! x

  3. This is exciting, I'd love a purse spray. Big perfumes always make your handbag so much heavier than it needs to be x

  4. I couldn't be happier that brands are starting to do travel sizes! Although they are more expensive if you work out the price per ml, I find it much more cost-effective to buy minis as I like to chop and change my scents. Bamboo sounds like such a cool, sophisticated scent!

  6. ooo they look lovely! :) I really struggle with perfumes though, paying more per ml the smaller the bottle really gets to me... so i end up with a huge bottle which doesnt fit into anything *sigh* I need to get over that!

  7. I totally agree with the lack of travel sized bottles of perfuume or purse ones, no one wants to lug the whole bottle around! I do hope others follow suit of Gucci.
