Witch Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash Review

Blemishes don't just plight our complexions but other areas of our bodies too, in my case my upper body also suffers greatly too. With very few products aimed at such concern (a little bizarre that brands haven't quite picked up on the concept), it really is a case of improvising when treating body blemishes.

Typically speaking I find the skin on my body a little more resilient and less prone to irritation, as such I can dabble with brands, formulations and of course prices; as I go through shower gel like it is going out of fashion, I do prefer more budget friendly options. On a whim, while in Boots I purchased a bottle of Witch Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash - washing your face optional of course.

Unlike other facial scrubs Witch Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash does not contain microbeads (really bad for the environment and apparently not all that wonderful for you skin either), rather it features tiny micro granules that disintegrate once applied to the skin. This way you can slough off dry and dead skin gently and free from irritation. By gently, exfoliating your skin daily you are promoting skin renewal and removing any trapped oil and dirt, which in turn will help heal existing blemishes and prevent future ones from rearing their ugly heads. This is in conjunction with the addition of tea tree oil - a natural astringent that is well known for it's healing and cleansing abilities. If that is not enough it also contains Vitamin E to soften the skin and help fade hyper-pigmentation (red marks left behind from blemishes). Rather clever and just £3.49.

As this does foam, I did find it a little drying when used on my face but when used as a shower gel, the sharp, tea tree scent is invigorating and perfectly suited to everyday use. You didn't hear this from me (okay you did) but Witch Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash is great for fading and removing self tan - 'tis the season for a layer or two of fake tan after all.
