New UK Beauty Products 2015

There are certain brands, typically those of the high street (or Drug Store if you are of that persuasion) variety that you know sooner or later, and if you are patient, they will launch that must have product that has been sweeping social media in your territory. In the name of research (okay I really wanted the items too), I purchased a few of the latest U.S budget launches that I think are bound for the UK to try out.

For the sake of full disclosure, I am in no way saying that each product is guaranteed to reach British stores but if I was a betting woman (I'm not, I hate to loose), the following launches are what I'd place my money on.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush Blush, the first of many new Maybelline launches. If social media is anything to go by this should be ready to purchase in the UK by December. To the best of my knowledge (and thanks to a quick Google search), there are two shades within the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush Blush range (around $7) - a peach and a pink offering. I have the peach hue - Pop of Peach which as you can see is an almost coral tinged peach, very pretty. At this point I am still testing the cheek flush blush out but can't say I'm overly impressed, it is very sheer and dare I say a little greasy. On the plus side I imagine that the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush Blush could possibly double up as a lip colour should you wish. For now I'll continue to put this dinky, cream blush through its paces and update with a full review in the coming weeks.

Two other Maybelline launches, that are already stocked on stands within the U.S are the new range of Maybelline mini-palettes; smaller than most ready made eyeshadow selections the new palettes feature, two, three or four shades that compliment one and other. Despite being fairly budget friendly (I don't think any cost over $6), the shades are truly beautiful and well formulated. I purchased one of each size: a solo shade, a duo, a trio and a quad, I will share full reviews and swatches soon but for now trust me when I say, should they land in the U.K, you will want to own at least one.

There is also the ever Instagram worthy Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette (under $10, I think?), a stunning array of warm and cool toned neutral eyeshadows. I think this is perhaps one of, if not the best dupe to Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette? As the other Maybelline eyeshadow palettes have already launched pretty much globally, I'd imagine that 2016 will bring Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette with it. I sure hope my prediction is true as it as pretty as it is well formulated, not to mention a great travel sized option for those like myself who are indecisive.

Sometimes I do save the best until last, if you send one make-up prayer out let it be a wish for the L'Oreal Infalliable Make Up Extender Setting Spray (around $13-$18). Yes this is every bit as good as the reviews have stated - a light weight, setting mist that does all it says on the tin (or should that be bottle), without clogging the pores or causing break outs. If this can prolong foundation wear in balmy Florida, the British Summer will be a walk in the park. I am a little concerned that should this reach the UK that it may be a little pricier than anticipated, fingers crossed that is not the case.

One brand that we can rely on to be fair with their launches in Revlon, other than the odd shade here and there Revlon don't tend to skimp on UK launches, so I'm all but certain that Revlon will unleash Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colors (around $8 each) soon. There are 8 shades to collect within the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colors (I managed to snag 6 in the states), this may be one of the better, budget matte liquid lipsticks launches to hit the stands.

I realise that this is a fairly teasing post but if we all collectively cross our fingers and think only positive make up thoughts, maybe just maybe, all of the above launches will hit the UK?
