Boots Natural Collection is a range I don't often stop peruse, there is nor real rhyme or reason other than I forget the range exists. Unlike the big budget beauty brands (think Maybelline, L'Oreal et al) - Natural Collection relies on word of mouth rather than advertisements meaning that the small, penny friendly range often gets lost in the huddle. A shame really as there are some great products to be discovered such as Natural Collection Eyeshadow in Milk Chocolate, one of the best high street eyeshadows I have tested in a long while.

What I like about Boots Natural Collection make up is that despite being more than affordable the packaging on the whole is rather pretty. Sure it plastic but it is not offensively so and by being plastic not only is robust but easy to clean too - it really is difficult to fault. The Natural Collection Eyeshadows come presented in a small, white screw top jar and as the lid is transparent you can see the shade inside at a glance. I should also mention that the Natural Collection Eyeshadows are fairly small and weightless, making them ideal for travel and general day to day transportation.

Believe it or not I bough Natural Collection Eyeshadow in Milk Chocolate as I couldn't get my hands on Urban Decay Riff Eyeshadow (still the case but I'll hopefully find it in Sephora on my travels), desperate for a warm yet matte toned chocolate brown eyeshadow that wouldn't cost the earth I scoured my local Boots store. It was here I found Natural Collection Eyeshadow in Milk Chocolate - a complete and utter snip at just £2 and not only the perfect transition shade but ideal for enhancing blue or green eyes. Natural Collection Milk Chocolate is best described as a warm, slight orange come ruddy mid toned brown, a shade that looks unassuming in the pan yet close to magical on the eyes.

We all know that Urban Decay do eyeshadows very, very well - beautiful and often usual colours that are buttery soft and beyond pigmented, so I would only be lying through my teeth if I said the Natural Collection eyeshadow formulation was comparable. That's however not to say that isn't great on its own merit: a soft, non-chalky matte eyeshadow that is fairly pigmented, easy to both apply and blend, and should you team with a primer, long wearing and more often than not resistant to creasing. The only real downside I have found is that it does produce a substantial amount of fall out, both when attempting to pick up product with a brush and when it comes to applying to the skin. Not exactly a travesty but worth noting none the less, otherwise I have nothing negative to say about Natural Collection Eyeshadow in Milk Chocolate and highly recommend you pick up a pan next time you visit Boots.
