Clinique Cheek Pop in Pink with a Purpose Review

Clinique Cheek Pop in Pink with a Purpose Review

I'm sure you are most likely aware that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month; to support such a worthy cause, a whole array of great beauty brands raise funds via limited edition products. One company more than doing their bit and have done so for numerous years is Clinique. This year isn't any different, two limited edition beauty products are now available for purchase, along with the annual sale of Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Ribbons. Both products are well worth purchasing but I'm sure for most it will be Clinique Cheek Pop in Pink with a Purpose is the product that is wrapped up to go.

Clinique Cheek Pop in Pink with a Purpose Review

Clinique Cheek Pop in Pink with a Purpose which is of course a limited edition version of Clinique's Cheek Pop Blush in Berry Pop. I must stress that this is not a new shade, rather a fan favourite re-packaged to support a good cause. As you can see the Berry Pop is a beautiful bright pink (very apt and fitting for the cause) with a slight blue undertone that is surprisingly subtle and light when applied to the skin - if in doubt use a large, fluffy brush. It can however be applied in layers for a more intense finish and should suit most complexions. As a nod to Breast Cancer Awareness features the now iconic ribbon symbol and comes presented within a small, round pink pouch/coin purse.

I apologise that above is a swatch photo from last year, my memory card is currently corrupted and I won't be able to replace it until tomorrow. Rest assure that Berry Pop very much looks like above conveys.
The texture of the Clinique Cheek Pops are unlike anything else I've tried - not quite a cream, nor a powder and perhaps best described as a hybrid of the two. They feature a firm almost powder like consistency but don't crumble or flake should you rub or apply pressure. Rather they somewhat melt and creates a long wearing soft focus (they do not settle into open pores, lines or highlight any other skin in-perfection) pretty flush of satin colour. The beauty of the Clinique Cheek Pops is that they are so pigmented, that no skin tone will struggle in terms of colour pay off. As an added bonus they build well without caking, sheer out with a fluffy brush and some blending, all the while wearing true on even the oiliest of skin types for up to eight hours.

Clinique Cheek Pop in Pink with a Purpose retails for £17 with £2 from each sale going directly to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. You can purchase Clinique Cheek Pop in Pink with a Purpose via Selfridges, Boots and Brown Thomas stores - it is a case of while stocks last.

This post contains a press sample due to the nature of the product, I will be donating the cost of both back to the charity.
