What's New at Bourjois for A/W 2015

Today I wanted to share a first look at the newest Bourjois product launches, the good news is that they are plentiful, innovative, affordable and in the case of the lip and eye products in the most beautiful Autumn shades. The bad news is that the new shades and formulations, do not touch down until the 30th of September - that does give me time to fully road test each product and provide in-depth reviews. Until then let's take a quick peek of what is upcoming via Bourjois...

First up we have a new foundation launch - Bourjois Air Mat Foundation (£9.99/30ml), which will come in eight shades, ranging from light to deep : two light tones, five medium tones and one Mediterranean tone. The shade numbers don't quite correlate to the already existing Bourjois foundations shades, for that reason I do suggest that you purchase in-store rather than online come launch day for the perfect match.

The concept behind Bourjois Air Mat Foundation is to produce a soft, natural matte finish all without a mask like feeling or appearance. Apparently the formulation is infused with air to create a weightless, soft matte finish. I must stress that I have only just began testing this out so my opinion may change as the days go on, thus far I do agree that it is utterly weightless and a joy to apply. Despite the thin, loose texture Bourjois Air Mat Foundation offers medium coverage and does not settle into fine lines nor open pores. It does however cling to dry areas and would be a nightmare on dry complexions, on the plus side so far it does seem to be doing a great job of keeping oil at bay. I will of course update with a full review in the coming days but if you have oily skin and enjoy a matte finish, I have a feeling you will want to try this.

Not only will two new shades of Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets (£8.99) be joining the core Bourjois line up but the Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipsticks (£7.99) have had a make over too. They now feature a high precision applicator and two new shades of the best selling lipstick formula to try. The two new Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet shades are: Fu(n)chsia - a bright, orange tinged red and Plum Plum Girl - a deep, vampy red toned plum. The new Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick hues are as follows: Pink Catwalk - a bright red based pink and Fuchsia Sari - a deep pink come red. As mentioned the Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipsticks have a slightly different bullet shape - the tip is now bevelled to allow you to somewhat line the lips, before filling.

Lastly the iconic Bourjois Little Round Pot Eyeshadows (£6.99) have been reinvented, in is slimmer packaging without shrinking the weight or size of the physical eyeshadow and out is the foam applicators that no-one ever really used anyway. The new style will come in eight shades, all of which are variations of nude and feature three different finishes - Pearly, Matte and Shimmery. I am still getting to grips with the Shimmery texture - I've never been a fan of glitter but I can vouch that overall it is the same beloved Bourjois Little Round Pot formulation. I will of course post a full review and swatch gallery in the coming weeks.

As mentioned above, all of the new Bourjois A/W '15 launches will touch down both online and in-store (Boots and Superdrug) on the 30th of September. What are you most looking forward to?
