Sleek Make Up Candy Tint Lip Balms

With Summer all but a distant memory, you may be on the look out for a lip colour that offers not only a dose of pigment but also hydration? The obvious choice would of course be a tinted lip balm. Newly launched is Sleek Make Up Candy Tint Lip Balms, a luxurious yet affordable tinted balm that comes in six candy inspired shades. Trust me when that come the depths of Winter you'll be glad of this purchase.

As you can see the new Sleek Make Up Candy Tint Lip Balms come presented within slim, matte black, lipstick casings - they look expensive, they feel expensive (they are slightly weighted) and yet they only cost £6.49 each. A bargain, I'm sure you'll agree? The sizing of the Sleek Make Up Candy Tint Lip Balms allows for easy storage, they slot easily into the smallest of bags and pockets - perfect for on the go hydration and of course a splash of lip colour. Each balm has a tapered tip which allows for precision application, even when on the go.

Unlike other tinted lip balms the shade range of the Sleek Make Up Candy Tint Lip Balms is fairly vast, with six shades in total. I was kindly gifted three: Cherry Drop, Jelly Bean and Tutti Fruitti. Sleek Make Up Cherry Drop is a bright candy pink hue, that has a slight yellow undertone and on certain lips/skin tones may translate to a coral wash of colour. For those looking for a blue based pink -come-lilac lip shade, look no further than Jelly Bean - again bright but surprisingly universal, this shade reminds me a little of MAC Snob albeit with a glossy finish. Lastly we have Sleek Make Up Candy Tint Lip Balm in Jelly Bean - a light, orange toned peach that is best for those who enjoy a subtle wash of colour; I can't help but think this shade would not only be ideal for school but also layering over drying nude/peach/coral lip colours? As a side note Jelly Bean couples beautifully with MAC Peachstock Lipstick.

The beauty of the Sleek Make Up Candy Tint Lip Balms is that due to the sheer finish of each shade, they not only translate different on everyone but somewhat adapt to suit your needs; basically the more pigmented your natural lips are, the deeper the overall tone. The formulation is soft, deeply hydrating, comfortable and yet it doesn't slip, slide or bleed. Typically speaking I achieve around two hours of wear in terms of colour but I find the moisturising quality sticks around a little longer. I should mention that as this is a balm formulation, it is prone to transferring on to food/cups and people. Yes each of the aforementioned balms feature a glossy finish but it is no way sticky or heavy in texture. They glide on to the lips, offering both colour and hydration, all without clinging to dry/chapped areas - as I said perfect for the upcoming Winter season. In my opinion the overall formulation (not the finish or shades) is akin to the newly launched Laura Mercier Lip Parfait Creamy Colourbalms, at a fraction of the cost and with more fashion forward shades too.Trust me when I say your lips, pockets and bags need at least one shade - you can thank me later ha!
