Please forgive me for being a tease but I am more than a tad excited for the next Jo Malone fragrance launch. Now you will have to wait until September for Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom Cologne and full collection to launch but it is well worth the wait. It has been all I've been wearing and talking about for that matter as of late.
Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom Cologne is unlike any other of the current (and past) Jo Malone Colognes, it has a certain familiarity yet is difficult to pin point exactly what or where it reminds me of. In my opinion it has a certain exotic vibe, it instantly transports me to faraway lands with concoctions of spice markets, sand and the warm sun. I know a few will say this reminds them of the Marrakesh but I truly don't think it is that obvious, nor overly Summer based. By that I mean Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche screams beach, sea and sunbathing, so much so that I feel bizarre wearing if it is not a sunny day - Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom Cologne not so much. Sure it will be wonderful for a sun soaked trip but beautifully warming and comforting come the Autumn/Winter seasons.
The three main notes within Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom Cologne are: Cardamom, Mimosa and Tonka Bean - a combination of fresh, floral and spice notes that seamlessly blend together. For those worried that is overly spicy please rest assure that it is more rich and as mentioned above warming than traditionally spice based. Despite featuring a fairly robust line up of notes this is a light and dare I say it bohemian fragrance - it is carefree, airy and a little different from the expected. As a side note this pairs beautifully with Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia Cologne - not that I need any excuse to purchase it!
If you are looking for a new fragrance to forever remind you of travel or something truly unusual then bookmark the Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom Cologne launch for this coming September.
Prices range from £42-£85.
