Caudalie Rose de Vigne Fragrance Review

Caudalie Rose de Vigne Fragrance

Rose fragrances are admittedly two a penny and very few catch my attention these days, a lot smell the same and the last thing I need is an unused bottle of fragrance. However when Rose scents are good, they are great and very, very easy to wear. If you are on the look out for a light, slightly fruit floral scent to wear on humid days or perhaps to allow you to dream of Summer past on rain soaked afternoons may I suggest Caudalie Rose de Vigne Fragrance?

"Caudalie Rose de Vigne Fragrance captures the quiet and idyllic atmosphere of the vineyards with the arrival of spring. This subtle scent evokes the light breeze carrying all the perfumes of flowers awakening. Imagine the sweetness and freshness of the air mingling with enchanting accents of pink rose, illuminated by crispy rhubarb and grapefruit and warmed by white musks and woods amber."
Unlike typical Rose based fragrances Caudalie Rose de Vigne Fragrance combines notes of rose, rhubarb and grapefruit so it is far removed from typical powdery rose or floral scents full stop. It is bright, fruity yet never sugary sweet, tart nor overpowering - all the while boasting longevity and impact. It is a fragrance that others will pick on and most likely compliment but it is not so strong that it will cause headaches - hey we've all been there! It really does remind me of summer - from sweet sorbets to freshly blooming roses and oddly fruit salads. This scent has it all and is ideal for those who enjoy younger, less traditional floral let alone rose fragrances - a spin on a classic.

As Caudalie isn't a brand easily found on every fragrance counter and it is just newly launched, let me share a few comparisons to help you decide if this is a scent for you. If you are familiar with The Body Shop Moroccan Rose range and enjoyed it, then this should be your next purchase as they are very, very similar. I would also say that Roger & Gallet Rose Imaginaire Fresh Fragrant Water Spray is somewhat comparable but Caudalie Rose de Vigne Fragrance is a little sweeter.
