So you've carefully constructed your daily make-up and skincare routines, have styling your hair down to a fine art, so what I am going to do? Throw the cat amongst the pigeons and share five seemingly bizarre beauty products, you may not have considered but are beneficial all the same.
SASS Intimate Perfect Skin £12 via Boots - link.
As we all know it is Summer (the weather may suggest otherwise) and certain areas of your body may or may not need to be shaved (the choice is yours), if ingrown, itchy hairs are a problem then SASS Intimate Perfect Skin may be the product you need to purchase next. This silky lotion contains exfoliating Salicyclic Acid and Fruit Enzymes to help prevent ingrown hairs, all the while Aloe Vera soothes and hydrates freshly shaved skin. Application couldn't be easier simply apply directly after shaving to cool, calm, moisturise and most importantly prevent those pesky itchy ingrown hairs because clawing yourself if public was never a good look!
Bliss Fuzz Off Foam £26 via Look Fantastic - link.
Yes £26 for a hair removal product is a little eye watering but hear me out, Bliss Fuzz Off Foam is worth the splurge for hair removal emergencies when time is not on your side. We've all been in the predicament of having five minutes to shave our legs, as well as getting fully made up before heading out. If you are anything like me it will result in a blood bath when a razor is involved, speed and sharp objects seldom bode well. Enter Bliss Fuzz Off Foam, a quick, easy and truly mess free way to de-fuzz. Simply apply the mousse to the legs (or armpits), leave for five minutes and rinse off, as it is a foam you can pop it on and do other things without dripping product everywhere. Sure traditional hair removal creams do a similar job but let's be honest they are messy, stink and do not moisturise the skin quite like this can. As it is so expensive I do stash it aside for hair removal emergences but it is worth the expense simply to prevent hacking my legs to pieces when time isn't of the essence.
Racinne Ultimate Youth Power Neck Emulsion £38 - link.
We moisturise our face, body, hands and feet but seldom pay attention to our neck area which in the long run this is less than ideal. You may or may not know, the neck is one of the first places to show signs of ageing so it only makes sense that we take care of such area. Racinne Ultimate Youth Power Neck Emulsion contains anti-ageing ingredients alongside Korean ginseng extract and Shea butter, to repair fine lines and wrinkles all while hydrating and nourishing the such a delicate area of skin. If you don't have £38 to spare you could of course use your regular moisturiser or anti-ageing product but consider this a heads up to treat the area each time you do your face.
Illamasqua Gel Colour in Charm £22 - link.
Gel blushes are amazing and most likely a formula you have neglected - I know I have! They glide on to the skin with ease, blend out with just the heat of your fingertips and as they stain they wear all day - consider them to be the hardest working blush formula you will ever own. In the case of Illamasqua Gel Colour in Charm it not only provides a gentle flush of colour for the cheeks but doubles up as a lip stain! Illamasqua make no waterproof claims but trust me when I say this will survive a dip in the pool or ocean with ease, how do I know? Torrential Glasgow rain, that's how. Your make-up kit needs this.

Scunci InstaTwist £29.99 via Superdrug - link.
Forget braids, this year it is all about hair twists - carefree, fun and just the right side of boho. The easiest way I have found to quickly achieve this trend at home is with the Scunci InstaTwist. This large and slightly bizarre looking hair tool, twists the hair into small, medium or large designs without damaging the hair and gives a far more polished look than what I have been able to achieve by hand. It is so easy to use that my 8 year old cousin can use it, if that doesn't tempt you to try it I don't know what will.

That Illamasqua gel blush looks amazing! But the colour is so vibrant, I'd have to be careful using it to avoid looking like a clown :P

The Illamasqua Gel Colour sound great to me! I'm a frequent user of lipstick as blush, as I'm lazy, likes multitasking products and is a huge fan of a monochrome look.

Really fun post. The twisting machine is exactly like a device that was released as part of the Disney Pocahontas merchandise, does anyone else remember it? It was the little raccoon character who braids her hair... It food the same thing - you out two pieces of hair in, it twisted them both in one direction, then twisted them together in the opposite direction. This stops the two pieces from meshing with recorder and creates a defined twist. I still do twists in my hair by the same method now but by hand! X
