Can I be brutally honest? I hate sachets of face mask! I understand the purpose, they are a cheap and cheerful way to treat the skin but they are just so messy. I never finish a full sachet and as I only use a face mask once a week, more often than not the remains are dried out by the time I get around to the second use. Well what if I said for the same price you could have a facial mask in a tube that delivers results. I'd imagine "shut up and take my money". If you have yet to try Boots Essentials Cucumber 3 Minute Clay Mask here is why you should pick it up...
At just £1.50 for a 50ml tube, I wasn't expecting big things from Boots Essentials Cucumber 3 Minute Clay Mask but do you know what, it isn't half bad. As you can see it comes neatly presented within a mess free squeeze style tube and provides more than enough product for at least five applications. For those like myself who don't really enjoy scented facial products, I can happily report that although there is a light cucumber fragrance it is barely noticeable and doesn't seem to irritate my skin.
Much like any clay based facial mask the main purpose of Boots Essentials Cucumber 3 Minute Clay Mask is to cleanse deeply and gently soften the skin. Unsurprisingly this mask contains cucumber to sooth and cool, which is combined with vitamins (Boots don't specify which and I can't make sense of the ingredients) to tone the complexion too. Yes the product blurb is a little thin on the ground but I can vouch that it does all it claims to and quickly. Simply apply on dry skin, allow up to five minutes to pass and rinse off for cleansed and soft skin. Does it fight blemishes? I wouldn't say so but it does dry out an existing problems as well as helping to balance the skin from excess oil - making it ideal for oily complexions. The only downside I can really find, is that it is a little drying so those with a drier complexion may want to skip this in favour of something more hydrating?
Is it the best facial mask I've ever used? No but it is a sight better than those throw away sachets and it does do all it says on the tin. At £1.50 I have no complaints and would use again.

I think both Boots and Superdrug are fantastic for their own brand skincare - I have a Superdrug deep mud mask that I love too :) Will need to check this one out as it never hurts to have another in the collection!

I am really trying to save money at the moment, but I do love to pamper myself! At £1.50 a tube though, there is no reason why I can't!

wow I need to try this mask! What an absolute bargain. I do suffer from spots so it would be great for me to trial how well it does on spot prone skin.

Completely agree that sachet's are the most annoying things ever! They create such a mess, this packaging is so much better! I'm a big fan of this and repurchase it constantly x

Boots own branded skincare can sometimes be better than the pricier branded skincare, most people forget that! :)

I've been eyeing this up everytime I've been in boots lately thinking I should give it a whirl, but I recently had a nightmare with a new (budget) moisturiser and learnt my lesson the hard way with skimping on that!
ReplyDeleteWill definitely give this mask a try now though :) Thanks for sharing!
