Not only is Lollyrocket a small and upcoming candle company that hand pours candles using natural soy wax but they realise that there is a gap in the market. Many candle brands neglect the fact that many men enjoy scented candles but perhaps do not want a white floral or bright fruity scent. That's not to say they can't or don't appreciate such scents but the lack of diversity from the larger home fragrance houses is disappointing. If you have been looking for more masculine centric home fragrances then look no further than the candles for gents trio from Lollyrocket Candle Co. Three unexpected and totally indulgent scents that both sexes can enjoy.
Lollyrocket Candle Co Teakwood & Cardamom Candle £8
This is slightly spicy yet is robustly woody with a slightly smoky trail, it reminds me of a more punchier and somewhat stronger version of Diptyque Feu de Bois Candle. The scent throw is incredible, after one hour of burning this fills not only the room with the heedy scent but the entire house. It lingers in the air for a few hours, softening and becoming more muskier as it goes. Admittedly this is one I will cast aside and treasure come the cooler months.
Don't let the name of this candle put you off - it is oddly fresh thanks to the lemon zest and comforting due to the soothing cognac note. What scents this aside from other scents in this vain is the spicy and rich tobacco addition, which gives the overall scent a feeling of familiarity. Out of the three this is the lightest and most cleansing scent, it is one that will quietly burn in a room without overwhelming yet makes a subtle statement that others will find difficult not to comment on. Though not identical if you enjoy fragrances such as Tom Ford Tabacco Vanille Private Blend Eau de Parfum, then I would check this out.
Lollyrocket Candle Co Suited & Booted Candle £8
"A stunning aftershave type fragrance with top notes of pink lime, bergamot leaves, and tangerine. Middle notes of cinnamon bark, limewood, and sage & bottom notes of Vetiver and orange flower."
Fresh, aquatic and perhaps the most typically male fragrance of the bunch. In my opinion this smells a little like Davidoff Cool Waters for Men, the ideal scent to not only burn in the home but a great addition to any bathroom. If you are at a loss as to which of the three to purchase for a loved one, I would say this is the safe bet as it is so universally pleasing. In a nutshell it is a classic, invigorating scent that I can't imagine anyone wouldn't enjoy.
At just £8 for a 1/2 pound mason jar candle Lollyrocket Candle Co are a great, affordable and independent way to scent your home without breaking the bank. I will be placing a second order in the coming weeks and of course will be sure to share any new scent discoveries.

Ohh I love this, that they are thinking of scents for men as well! My husband doesn't particularly care for the flowery candles that I like, so it'd be nice to have something for him!

They all sound really nice but I think my dad would really love the last one! I expected them to be much more expensive than £8, they would make a great fathers day present! (I'm determined to be a little bit more imaginative this year and not buy yet another pair of socks) x
