As a huge fan of Elizabeth Arden’s iconic Eight Hour Cream I have been glued to the #My8Hours hashtag, a journey that presents 8 hours within the lives of 8 inspirational women, over 8 weeks. A lovely homage to the iconic and multi-tasking product wouldn't you agree?
The creator, Elizabeth Arden was so much more than a business woman, she was also a beauty advisor and women’s advocate; a huge inspiration to women (myself included) all over the world then and now. The #My8Hours campaign builds on just this and offers a glimpse into 8 hours of the lives of inspirational 21st century women, some of who you will be utterly familiar with. The beauty of this movement is that is so diverse, very different vocations and ages: there is a fellow beauty blogger, a comedian, an athlete and even a pop star. If you have ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes in other women's lives or are looking for some new beauty tips this is the hashtag to follow closely. As someone who grew up watching and listening to S Club 7 I really enjoyed the sneak peek into Rachel Stevens life!
The general idea is that each week, one of the women listed below will share 8 hours of her life via social media - using both photos and videos. If you have yet to tune in do it today, it really is interesting and education not to mention it celebrates both diversity and inspirational strong women. UK .
The 8 women taking part within the Elizabeth Arden #My8Hours are:
1. TV Presenter and Model - Laura Jackson
2. Athlete and Campaigner - Jo Pavey
3. Make Up Artist - Polly Osmond
4. Singer, Model and Presenter - Rachel Stevens
5. Recognised Hairdressing Industry Leader, Global Creative Director of TONI & GUY- Sacha Mascolo - Tarbuck
6. Fashion and Beauty Blogger - Fleur De Force
7. Renowned Dermatologist - Dr Sam Bunting
8. Comedian - Shazia Mirza
This will run for 8 weeks, from May 11th to July 5th 2015 and Elizabeth Arden invite you to join in and inspire others by uploading a snap highlight of your 8 hours in photo form. For example mine would be the above photo which is just after a trip to my local farmers market. I stocked up on organic vegetables, came home and made a delicious salad to enjoy in the late evening sunshine (Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Sun Defense Stick sure came in handy) with my family - utter bliss.
I look forward to seeing the highlight from your 8 hour day, if taking part the hashtag and all the social medial channels are below:
