Pricey lip balms and treatments are something I wince at, I'll happily splash out on a face mask or hair product without a second thought but as someone who has lost more lip products than left socks - any lip purchase over £10 especially a balm seems silly. Yet I have nothing but positive things to say about Aesop Rosehip Seed Lip Cream.
Aesop Rosehip Seed Lip Cream is not your typical lip balm, rather it is a light cream that reminds me a lot of Blistex Relief Cream in terms of texture. On one hand this makes it not only a lot easier to apply as there is no waxy texture but it does have a tendency to leak from the tube no matter how careful you are. If you look closely at the above photo you will see not only the Aesop Rosehip Seed Lip Cream spewing out the tube despite no pressure being applied, look a little closer and you will also see dried up product surrounding the base. Grim and it happens each and every time I use the product regardless of how careful I am. For that reason and the easily bashed metal tube design I don't recommend it for travel as I would worry that sooner or later it would leak in my bag.
Design flaws aside the Aesop Rosehip Seed Lip Cream is a wonderfully soothing and repairing lip product, as someone who swears by Rosehip Oil for my face I was more than pleased to find something similar for my lips. This Vitamin E (which is free from silicones and paraffin) enriched formula gently soothes, moisturises, replenishes and of course repairs the lips without the need of typically medicated ingredients. If like myself you are prone to chewing and biting your lips or perhaps suffer from sun burn on such area (it can happen), this is the product for you. As you may or may not know Rosehip repairs sun damaged skin and this is no different - instant relief for irritated skin, lips and elsewhere. Yes Aesop Rosehip Seed Lip Cream has of course been formulated for the lips but the gentle formula can be applied elsewhere (face and body) should needs must. Personally I apply Aesop Rosehip Seed Lip Cream before bed each night and enjoy awakening to softer lips, safe in the knowledge that it is aiding the skins natural repairing process.

I do find that is always an issue with these metal tubes. They look fab but once they've been bashed around a bit, they always leak.

Sounds lovely for an intensive treatment, I use manuka honey balms at night and my lips are so soft the next day!

Your pictures always look great! I agree with you on not being too keen on spending a lot on lip balms but this sounds like it might be worth it!
