Say what you want about Miley Cyrus, MAC Viva Glam Miley Lipstick is one heck of a pink and with the vast majority of proceeds going directly to support those affected by Aids/HIV via the MAC Aids Fund , how could I not add it to my collection?

MAC Viva Glam Miley is of course somewhat limited edition but it should be around for another few months at least. Much like the majority of MAC Viva Glam lipsticks this comes presented in the typical black casing and metallic red accents. The ferrule of the lipstick barrel is as always inscribed with that year's spokesperson, which of course is Miley Cyrus. The packaging is not what you came here for now is it?

Understandably not everyone will enjoy the bright pink hue that is MAC Viva Glam Miley but I think it makes a nice change of pace. Yes it isn't technically a ground breaking and new shade but it is a sight more universally flattering than past offerings - MAC Viva Glam Gaga I am looking at you! MAC Viva Glam Miley is a bright hot pink with a strong undertone, it will draw comparisons to MAC Candy Yum Yum which it is rather similar too. MAC Candy Yum Yum is a smidgen lighter and more neon in tone, not to mention matte in finish but if you enjoy bright, blue based pinks Viva Glam Cyrus is one you should check out. I find MAC Viva Glam Miley Lipstick to be brightening and suitable for most complexions.

As MAC Viva Glam Miley is an amplified formula it is both pigmented and creamy, offering a bright dose of colour and a slightly glossy finish in one quick swipe. It is comfortable, easy to wear, bizarrely flattering and long wearing (approx 3 hours per wear) - not to mention it doesn't bleed, feather and is one of the more hydrating MAC formulations available. A great Summer shade for the masses, all the while supporting a brilliant cause - what more could you ask from a lipstick.
Who would you like to see next as the face of MAC Viva Glam and what shade would you like it to be? I'm pretty happy as long as it is someone completely new and not a red hue!

The Amplified series is really brilliant - it's pretty much the only range that don't dry out my lips and is pretty long-wear compared to other brands. I totally agree!!!

I love this lippy! Got it a couple of months ago and at first I wasn't so sure about the hue but like you mentioned, it flatters pretty much any skin tone!! ^_^

Was so glad I bought this, the colour looks so flattering on everyone. I also got the matching gloss which is nice for a subtle sheen and sparkle :)
