And so we are onto the fifth chapter of the year, I realise the biggest cliché of all is to state how quickly the year is going by but isn't it just? Anyway with Summer on the horizon there are plenty of new launches to look forward to and of course hopefully better weather. Until then let me share what I have been enjoying over the past few weeks...
Some may scoff at the following suggestion but if like myself you enjoy, super cool toned nude lip liners such as MAC Stone but find it a little drying or perhaps not as long lasting as you'd care for - try NARS Brow Perfector in Salzbourg. A light, ashen nude that will wear all day long due to the waxy texture and is oddly not at all drying. Hey beauty rules were made to be broken.
My other go to lip choice has been Barry M Loud Mouth Lip Colour in Screamer - a bright, orange based coral that works equally well with a tan as it does pale and deep complexions. If you are looking for a bright yet super wearable Summer lip colour look no further.
If you purchase one thing this month let it be a Max Factor Creme Puff Blush - all of the shades are equally beautifully, somewhat neutral and utterly wearable. Yes they are comparable to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes but far kinder on the pocket - easily one of my favourite high street blush ranges of all time!
For the month of April I relied on three skin care product to brighten, moisturise and soothe my skin. I can not be without Trilogy Rosehip Oil, after cleansing my face in the evening, I slather this all over my complexion and let it soak it. It doesn't overwhelm nor irritate but gentle restores, plumps and heals my skin - it really is a staple within my daily skin care stash. To help further moisturise and also brighten I've fallen back in love with Origins Ginzing Moisturiser - the light gel texture is perfect for my often oily skin and the fragrance really does put a little pep in my step. Lastly for my puffy eyes the cooling Clinique All About Eyes Serum has been a life saver - this cooling elixir helps to not only de-puff but soothe and calm in one quick step. If like myself you suffer from hayfever this is something you need to treat yourself to.
Stuck for time but still want soft, smooth skin then look no further than Superdrug Vitamin E Shower Moisturiser - simply slick on after washing your body in the shower, rinse off and viola - super soft skin. I use it daily, mainly because I am lazy but mostly because it delivers great results and only costs £2.99.
What have you been enjoying lately?
Those are some yummy products! ♥

Gosh, everything sounds divine. I recently picked up Rosehip Oil (not by the same brand, but it'll be similar, right?) and I can't wait to start using it. I've heard it's great for acne scars!

For the life of me, I could not remember who talked about the Trilogy Rosehip Oil! After I saw a precious post of yours talking about Rosehip Oil, I pulled out a few samples that contained it and I fell in love!! I found something comparable from Shea Terra, that I might try just for cost reasons. I found the Trilogy to be double the price, but if this cheaper version bites the dust, I will be regretting it big time. Hmm, I don't know, maybe I will just get the Trilogy.
ReplyDeleteI love the Chloe perfume and for now, I have it in a rollerball size. I want the full size BUT, I love the Bottega Veneta perfume more. The Nordstrom sale is coming up and I know they have good size perfume kits. Decisions, decisions..
Lovely blog post as always :)

I love that barry m lip colour so much but find it difficult to use so I brought a clear lipgloss. Pulled the cap out and poured some out the added a few drops of barry m. Replaced the cap thing and the applicator and shook. Now I have my favourite colour lip gloss.
ReplyDeleteWow can't believe it's already May either! Love that Origins moisturizer.
