The Latest Lipstick Launches

I am tempted to say that 2015 is the year of the lipstick but then again we are only a quarter into the year so that is a little premature. None the less if you have yet to find your ideal lipstick formulation or even shade there is a whole onslaught on newly released and yet to be launched lipsticks, something is sure to catch your eye!

The Latest Lipstick Launches

New Nudes
Everyone needs a good nude lipstick in their collection, the perfect everyday shade that will take you from day to night - every make-up bag needs at least one. Fans of MAC Hue Lipstick need to seek out the latest Max Factor Elixir Lipstick in Simply Nude. A silky soft formula with super moisturising ingredients such as shea, avocado and aloe butters, at just £7.99 you need this. Clinique have just launched a trio of lipstick shades aimed at brides to be - Clinique Long Lasting Lipsticks. My personal favourite has to be Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Honeymoon (£15.75 exclusive to John Lewis). This is a light bronze come pink that has been created for bridal wear but is a great everyday nude option - it is fairly sheer but moisturising and utterly flattering, well worth seeking out. Lastly is the new Lancome Shine Lover Lipsticks (£21 each) which comes in 20 shades, think great pigment levels coupled with a beautifully hydrating formulation and light shine finish. My personal favourite out of the huge shade range has to be shade 212 which is a muted pink come brown - if you enjoy MAC Brave lipstick but want something a lighter lighter in texture this should be your next purchase. Look out for them launching in May.

New Mattes
Gone are the days in which matte lipstick instantly equated to dried out lips, formulas have been improved tenfold in the last few years. Two of my favourite new-ish matte lipstick launches have to be the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Moisturising Lipsticks (£21) and Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipsticks (£8.99). The Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Moisturising Lipsticks come in five shades and deliver not only a dose of pigment but also moisturise. There is not a more comfortable matte lipstick out there, I can promise you that. On the more budget friendly spectrum - the three new shades of the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipsticks are not to be missed, admittedly not the most hydrating of formulations but you can bet on them staying in place all day long. If I could recommend one shade it would be Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipsticks in 10 Don't Pink of It - a great dusky nude come pink hue.

Moisturising Formulas
After a long and dreary Winter much like the rest of my body my lips are craving a little extra TLC and hydration, I have three perfect formulas for all budgets. My personal favourite and current go to moisturising lipsticks have to be the new Clinique Pop Lipsticks (£16) - a vast array of shades, that glide on to the lips, nourishing and priming as they go. Each shade (16 shades in total) is buttery soft, beautifully pigmented, has a gel like consistency and thanks to the added primer wears comfortably for a good three to four hours. For a little touch of luxe I recommend the somewhat newly launched Burberry Kisses Lipsticks (£25) - sheer yet not overly so, comfortable and utterly moisturising. I like to think of the Burberry Kisses Lipsticks as suped up tinted lip balms - a must for the Summer! On a budget? Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Edition Liquid Lipsticks (£8.99) are the one for you - a light, non-sticky liquid formula that offers all the sheen of a gloss with all the pigment of a lipstick. They are extremely comfortable to wear not to mention cooling.

Limited Editions
Bobbi Brown have just launched a collection of seven formulations - one for everyday of the week, dubbed the Monday to Sunday Lips collection. With new, old and improved textures and shades I am utterly confident that you will find at least one shade to enjoy. As most will be aware next month sees the launch of Make Up For Ever within the UK and I am hopefully a few lipstick selections will make the cut. Lastly we have MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus Lipstick (£15.50) which has been around for a few months now but may just be your ideal bright, pop of pink - not to mention a huge chunk of proceeds from every sale goes to charity.

Something Fancy
We all deserve a treat now and then and the next three lipstick launches are just that - luxurious and something you will look forward to applying each and every time. First up we have the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Shine Lipsticks  (£25), the glossier and altogether lighter version of the original Pure Color Envy Lipstick line. They glide on to the lips which ease, offer up a light dose of pigment and moisture,  all the while wearing true for at least three hours. Laura Mericer have just expanded their Creme Smooth Lipstick collection (£21) by seven shades - think dusky nudes and super wearable pinks. Perhaps not all that new a launch but worth a mention none the less is the NARS Audacious Lipstick  (£24) line - creamy, well pigmented, long wearing and beyond luxurious. The colour range is vast and inspired by screen icons, you may well just find your own name to collect. The classier version of the share a Coke campaign?

Budget Friendly Options
Proving that you don't have to spend a small fortune to enjoy a new lipstick or two is Zoeva's Luxe Cream Lipstick (£7.50) - a super creamy, hydrating and almost gel like formula that comes in nine very wearable shades. If you are familiar with YSL Rouge Volupte Lipsticks and really enjoy the formula this is the budget dupe for you. Launching in May is the new Collection Long Lasting Lipstick shades, much like the above Laura Mercier range the new additions are mostly nude and 90's inspired but there is a few bright's such as coral to suit all tastes and complexions. At just £2.99 they are a great find, admittedly not the most nourishing but they wear well and the colour selection is incredible.

I really should have titled this post lipstick p0rn!
