Daily SPF is something most of us automatically reach for; be it in a stand alone product or within our morning moisturiser. Typically moisturisers which do offer SPF protection can be a little on the pricey side so Simple's Regeneration Age Resisting Day Cream SPF15 may be a revelation to some - utterly affordable at just £6.59 when at full price.
In a nutshell Simple Regeneration Age Resisting Day Cream SPF 15 is a thick, yet lightweight daily moisturiser that is quickly absorbed and non-greasy which offers an SPF protection of 15 - without leaving behind a white cast on the skin. I can't seem to find any information on what kind of sun protection Simple Regeneration Age Resisting Day Cream SPF15 contains, I am assuming broad spectrum i.e protects from both UVA and UVB rays but there is no confirmation of that. What I can say is that the ingredient list includes: Pro-Vitamin B5, Vitamin E, Mushroom Extract, Oat-Beta Glucan and Green Tea Extract all of which combine to moisturise, soften, help create an even skin tone, help fight against the signs of premature ageing and reduce skin sensitivity. As with the vast majority of Simple skin care products, this contains no artificial perfume or colourants and has been
Dermatologically tested and approved - so you know you are in safe hands.
As much as I like the texture - it is really hydrating yet suitable for oily skin and is water based so it is ideal for acne/blemish prone skin types. I do wish the SPF factor was a little higher so that it protects the skin for a longer period of time. I was taught that an SPF15 is the base line of sun protection i.e the bare minimum. If you are using this to layer with your regular daily SPF choice then I do think it is more than satisfactory; as a stand alone product you will have to apply this several times a day to keep the skin protected, mush as you would any low factor sun screen. Hopefully in the future Simple will launch higher factor versions of this day cream, if they do I'd be first in line!

Would be great if they did bump up the spf! :)

There is Simple's daily moisturiser (also pump bottle!) with SPF 30 and I have been using it for years now. It's very lightweight and I can apply my foundation/primer straight afterwards - I LOVE it and I forever repurchase it. Seriously, try it Adrienne! I won't get this one from your review because as you said - SPF 15 is just too low. X

I totally agree that it would be more beneficial with a higher SPF.

This sounds like such a lovely product, but I agree that the SPF is almost (not quite) useless. Moisturiser is hard to reapply during the day with makeup, so something that's a little longer lasting would be perfect.

Love Simple products but unfortunately SPF15 won't really cut it here in Aus. Like you said, I hope they bring out an SPF30+ soon! x
