I have no idea why this is being dubbed mini as I would say it is fairly substantial in size and contains 8 well portioned eyeshadows. The rose gold packaging is beautiful but the slim style and plastic casing make this a little flimsy - as you can see one of my eyeshadows has already broken. This of course is also due to the soft texture of the formulation. Basically as pretty as this palette is do not rely on it for travelling - if purchased, store somewhere safe and pray you don't drop it! Packaging woes aside this is a truly stunning and diverse palette with muted shades for every occasion. All 8 shades are wonderfully pigmented with a buttery soft texture that is really easy to blend out. For best use I would recommend teaming this with a primer as I have found the formula a little prone to creasing and fading around the 6 hour wear mark. The soft texture does make the eyeshadows prone to fall out and crumbling but I'd take that any day over weak colour pay off. I would like to have seen a few matte shades in amongst all the shimmer and glitter finishes. In my opinion this is a great, slightly downside dupe for Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette.
No.7 Gel Look Shine Nail Colours £7 each
I am unsure if the swatch photos are showing above, in draft they are yet in preview mode they are not. If not I will update as soon as I get home tonight. For Spring 2015 No.7 have expanded their Gel Look Shine Nail Colour collection with two new and limited edition shades. In my opinion not only are they ideal for Spring but also Summer too. No.7 Gel Look Shine Nail Colour in Coral Crush is a bright, glossy easy to wear orange come coral that will look great on all complexions. Personally I think it will be my go to toe polish for the upcoming Summer. If you like bright Lilac hues you need to purchase No.7 Gel Look Shine Nail Colour in Sweet Lilac, pastel yet punchy and altogether easy to wear. This is quite similar to Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Jo'Mina only half the price. Both polishes are: easy to apply, non-streaky, opaque in two quick coats, not prone to chipping and offer a great glossy finish.
Are you glad Spring has finally Sprung?

No7 is a brand I've never really looked into, I'm not really sure why as they have some fab products. This palette looks stunning, but I agree the colours do look like they'd be prone to fallout, I guess you just have to be more careful or do your eyes before your face :)

Oooh I love No7's spring collections. My birthday is in March and my Mum usually buys me something from the range as a gift. These eyeshadows look lovely, I've used some of their neutral shades before and found they apply really well with a wet brush. The polishes look beautiful too; perfect spring colours!

The palette looks lovely! Unfortunately I own far too many neutrals to justify buying it (:

Not really a fan of glittery shimmery eyeshadows, I'd prefer matte much like you said, but they still look quite nice! The nail polish colours are so cute as well!x

I went to Boots to pick this up today as I thought it would be a lovely part of my present for Mother's Day. Unfortunately that particular Boots didn't have it ... Has this been released yet? x
ReplyDeleteHi! Sorry to hear that, yes it is and has been out for a little while. Was it a small Boots? Sometimes they are a little behind x
