L'Occitane Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc La Collection de Grasse

On the 19th of March the new L'Occitane Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc La Collection de Grasse will launch here in the UK. As someone who is completely unfamiliar with Iris scents this was a lovely introduction to such floral notes. In my opinion Iris is somewhat similar in scent to violet only cleaner and lighter - at least that is my opinion of L'Occitane Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc which is comprised of two different Iris blooms. If you like gentle, non-powdery florals that don't overwhelm this is a scent that I imagine you will enjoy. As you will read below the line up is fairly vast with products for the body, scent and three new hand creams.

L'Occitane Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc La Collection de Grasse

"A flower emblematic of Grasse perfumery, the iris lends its subtle yet distinctive presence to the new fragrance from La Collection de Grasse: Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc. This magnificent composition brings together the most beautiful species of iris: Iris pallida, the blue iris and Iris florentina, the white iris. The blue iris pallida used in this scent has been grown in Grasse region, specially for L'OCCITANE. With its rich, velvety notes, it shapes the fragrance. A white iris florentina, chosen in its native Mediterranean lands, lights up the precious iris pallida, enveloping it in a luminous transparency."

So within the L'Occitane Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc La Collection de Grasse there is the beautiful Eau de Toilette which I do think is the perfect fresh, lightweight scent for the Spring. It somewhat reminds me of fresh air in the warmer weather - I realise this sounds odd but I'm sure many will know what I mean? There is also a perfumed hand soap, shower gel, body lotion and hand cream, all of which share the same soft floral fragrance.

Along with the launch of the L'Occitane Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc La Collection de Grasse; two new Grasse hand creams will also be unveiled on the 19th: L'Occitane Jasmine and Bergamote Perfumed Hand Cream and Neroli and Orchidee Perfumed Hand Cream. Loyal L'Occitane La Collection de Grasse fans may have realised such hand creams are an expansion of the original fragrance lines. Much like the Iris version they are both really soft yet uplifting floral scents, that don't overwhelm the senses nor are they dated like some floral concoctions. It really is such a shame that they don't land until the 19th, as I think they would make wonderful Mother's Day gifts.

Prices range from £7-£54 and as mentioned the above products will land both online and on counter on the 19th of March.
