Later this month Jo Malone will unveil the Jo Malone Blue Skies and Blossoms Collection, three fragrances that are limited edition and based around the best loved blossom based scents. The idea is that all three fragrances have been created to capture the light, carefree attitude of the Spring season as well as gentle nod towards the season of growth and renewal. I am not typically a light, floral fan and yet I find Jo Malone Sakura Cherry Blossom Cologne pretty irresistible.
“Floral scents have always been some of the most popular among women but today they’re looking for a different kind of floral expression. We associate traditional heady bouquet scents with our grandmothers while blossoms are fresh, natural, authentic and much easier to wear.” - Celine Roux, Fragrance Director, Jo Malone London.
Jo Malone Sakura Cherry Blossom is described as delicate floral scent, blended with notes of rose and sparkling bergamot, this is the cologne that I was very kindly gifted. It is very clean, not overly rose based and ever so aquatic. If you are looking for something that is beyond easy to wear yet floral and fresh this should be the next scent you try. I can not think of an obvious comparison but can say that it is utterly beautiful.
I haven't personally tested Jo Malone Exotic Osmanthus Blossom but it does sound beautiful with a juicy note of peach, layered with luminous petigrain. There is also Jo Malone Plum Blossom which features ripe yellow plum over a plum blossom heart. I am sure that they will be equally beautiful.
Jo Malone Blue Skies and Blossoms Cologne Collection will launch this month (March 2015) and will retail for £86/100ml each.

These all sound lovely! I'll definitely be tempted to try them when they launch. I've been using Pomegranate Noir a lot lately, but now as we head into spring I want something a bit lighter.

ReplyDeleteThis sounds like an amazing scent, a nice new, fresh take on floral. I have never found a Jo Malone scent that I haven't loved, however the products are incredibly pricey.
