Elie Saab Le Parfum Resort Eau de Toilette

If like myself you are dreaming of warmer and dare I say it sunnier climes then perhaps a trip to your local fragrance hall could be the answer - that or booking a trip abroad but perfume does tend to be cheaper. At the moment Elie Saab Le Parfum Resort is my go to fragrance pick me up - a fruity blend of fig, orange blossom, jasmine and frangipani that embodies the mood of Summer without being sickly sweet.

"The limited edition fragrance is inspired by the Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2015 collection, capturing an infinite range of captivating blue shades in an elegant solar floral-fruity creation. Bathed in sunshine, the perfume is released in waves like a warm and gentle breeze, bursting with sensuality and indulgence.indulgence. Elie Saab Le Parfum Resort Collection opens with a silky smooth fig accord, emphasised with luscious mandarin essential oil. At the centre of the fragrance, faceted like a precious stone, is orange blossom warmed by the sun and exotic, voluptuous frangipani. A base of addictive amber and sophisticated cedar reveal the sweet delicacy of the fragrance."

If you are fan of Tom Ford Costa Azzura Eau de Parfum but not so much the price tag I would say that Elie Saab Le Parfum Resort is a great alternative. I'm not for one moment saying they are identical because they are not, they both have a beachy, care free, light summer ready vibe; fruity and slightly floral without becoming cloying on, refreshing yet not over aquatic due to the warmth of the Amber. Both have been created to invoke the salty coastal line of Italy (the Amalfi Coast I believe) which I do think they deliver rather well. I would say that the Elie Saab Le Parfum Resort is the more feminine offering of the two with a strong fig presence, not to mention purse friendly too. As this is an eau de toilette it is not the longest wearing but I do think many will be thankful of this attribute if wearing in a warmer climate (heavier scents to tend to turn foul in the heat). Think of it as a liquid trip to the beach without the sand stuck in places you'd rather it wasn't and the guilt of consuming one too many ice-creams. Guilty as charged.
