These are a Few of My Favourite Things January 2015

Despite being the start of a new year not too many new products have sneaked into my daily routine, none the less here is what I have been enjoying for the last four weeks or so...

I am shocked that this is still fairly easy to purchase as it is a limited edition offering, perhaps the price tag put some off? This is one of the few palettes I own in which I not only like but actually use every shade. No the blushes are not the most pigmented in the world but they give a lovely, light glow come flush to the cheeks, illuminate and generally give a fresh, youthful glow. I am a complete convert to Hourglass Ambient Light Blushes. More please, by that I mean please launch more shades or another palette. Wouldn't that be the dream?

Fortunately my blemishes have began clearing up now that I have been given medication for adult acne. Despite not really requiring full coverage I still find myself reaching for my trusty combination of heavy duty concealer Make Up Forever Full Coverage Concealer and a combination of L'Oreal True Match Foundation. I really like the flawless coverage this combination gives as well as being long wearing and super comfortable!

I don't think I will ever be the type to sport a red lipstick daily, it is just a little too bold for my taste. However over the last few weeks I have been enjoying light, sheer and glossy washes of deep pink come red lip colours, namely YSL Glossy Stain in shade 32. To begin with I saw this as a festive, almost winter berry type shade but rather liked how long wearing and dare I say it natural the red/pink looked teamed with neutral make-up. If you like lip gloss but wish it was longer wearing add a YSL Glossy Stain to your wish list!

Have you tried the Seventeen Colour Carnival Nail Polishes? At £1.99 they are a great bargain find with tonnes of colours, they apply with ease, aren't overly prone to chipping and frankly great value for money. At the moment I am really enjoying the shade Bright Orange, it is cheery and helps to chase away the Winter blues.

Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eyeshadow in Golden Peach
A beautiful, bright bronze eyeshadow that really brings my blue/grey eyes to life and makes them pop with next to no effort. The soft, easy to blend texture makes application a breeze and blending is just as easy. It is well pigmented yet not harsh, this is probably one of my favourite eyeshadows of all time.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, the only Benefit mascara I am mostly likely to ever get on board with is Benefit Roller Lash Mascara, a mascara especially created for small, short and flimsy eyelashes but is suit all. The velcro technology brush hooks on to eyelashes pulling them outwards and upwards. It may not overly curl my eyelashes but the separation and eye opening effect can not be beaten. I am a huge fan and fully recommend (if you can) picking up this month's Elle UK magazine and putting the sample to the test. If not this launches on the 1st of March.

It lengthens, adds volume and makes any mascara work harder. It can be worn alone but I like to use it as a conditioning base coat before slicking on a coat of Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. I won;t say too much about Estee Lauder Little Black Primer for now as I have a full review coming your way in the next few days.

Lush The Olive Branch Shower Gel
If you purchase one shower gel let it be this., I utterly swear by it. My skin is dried out at the moment so my go to shower gel has been Lush The Olive Branch - it contains real olive oil so along with smelling incredible it cleanses and leaves my skin feeling silky soft. A must buy.

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir is a beautiful blend of bright, juicy fruit notes with a slightly spicy kick. It is easily one of my favourite Jo Malone fragrances of all time. It is classic, slightly sensual and unlike any other scent I own and dare say out there full stop. I feel this is one of those fragrances that works best as a Winter choice or for evening wear as it is pretty heady.
